I'm pretty sure that wasn't the biggest meteor he could drop.
Let's say he puts in 100%, and we know he has ALOT of chakra non edo, he battled Hashirama for 3 days whilst maintaining PS and using super high tech moves and Sharingan techs.

He could easily drop a meteor that'd bust the core of the earth, if not, he could just drop 2.
The force of something that large dropping from so high is way beyond what you'd believe, a coconut falling from a tree makes more than a tonne of force per inch.

'But what if the meteor isn't big enough?'
Simple, he creates another moon. He is EDO, there's no doubt he could do it, and if the moon crashed into the world it'd be destroyed.

I'm not sure if Juubito has plant busting techs, but I'm not saying Madara > Juubito ( Though I'd still like to believe it's true )

We have reached planet busting. Keep in mind Master roshi did this in Dragonball.

Objects from space will not destroy the earth unless there the same size, the most damage a meteor would do to Earth is make earth go to a nuceular winter, and would leave a decent sized crater couple miles long and deep.

Are you kidding.
A meteor wouldn't 'Destroy' the earth as in pulverize it, it'd destroy the core of the world, once that's gone..well.
You remember what happened to Namek?

I never compared the 2.
I have no doubt that it'd be stronger than Madaras meteor, but Goku has also tanked punches that shake the earth, so he > Naruto verse.

Comparing real life to an anime? Sounds legit.

Please look back at the era of the Dinosaurs, an asteroid way larger than Madaras did not destroy the Earth or it's core, and there aren't much asteroids bigger than that...

Thats it. I was the one comparing these two. Son Goku > NV

nope... kinetic energy my friend is what makes meteors, and asteroids deadly

if you hit something fast, and hard enough you can always punch through.

give a example diamond

hardest thing on the planet... right?
yes... and no.

it has a lot of cleavage, pervert... if you thought I was making a women joke there.

Cleavage for diamonds are points where it can be broken, and there are plenty.

Diamond are a reqular atomic structure, and are crystals so it bares to reason that they can be the hardest thing, but not the most durable.

you see Hard, and Durable are differnt.

Durability is the measure of how long a object can hold out to drama.
Hardness is the measure of the density of said object

you have a bat made of diamond, and swing it the right way, you'll break that mother all over the ground. ergo

Size
speed
energy

those things factor into a meteor's potential of destruction

the size gives it more energy layout, the speed increases the impact energy.

in fact you can (in theory) have a three mile asteroid destroy earth by simply sending it fast enough, and hard enough into the planet, however such speeds would put it at sub light (or 33% the speed of light, give or take) thus it would make it illogical for it to occur NATURALLY

Oh my god, more wanking. At most, Madara's meteor's will cause a deep crater with a HUGE HUGE radius. But far from a planet buster.

It depends how fast Madaras meteores are coming. I highly doubt he's going to bring something down like a meteor fast enough for it to destroy the earth...

Please tell how you know how large it was.
Or what it was made of.
Density.
Weight.
angle of impact.

All of these things are very important when you look into it.
A rock that large, and we can assume it's rock as Onoki used 'Boulder lightening jutsu' on it, coming straight down, or 2, would destroy the planet.

a meteor in late May flew passed the earth that was said to be able to destroy it if it hit

if a big enough meteor were to hit the arctic, the world would flood

It was as big as a decent sized town, I don't know the weight.

Anyways it's going to take a mars sized meteor to destroy half the planet...

I'm not saying it'd flat out pulverize the planet, it'd just destroy the core, and when that's gone, we are boned.

the meteor that flew passed earth was the size of a cruise ship, and it said it could wipe all life on earth

so imagine what an even bigger meteor could do

Why would he make them bigger then he needed, destroying the planet was definitely not what he was trying too do.
This also explains why he dropped 2, in the same place, as to destroy the fourth company, not the planet.
