Maybe Kishimoto is still in love with his 11 year old girlfriend from years ago but he had to kill her because the CIA was using her as a spy against Japan?
You have quite an imagination Lol

That's not the problem. Rin's death was like.. ohhh. Nothing like Itachi's or Jiraiya's death.
We, the readers, know nothing about Rin. Therefore, when Obito's motivation is about Rin.. it's damn near stupid. If we knew more about Rin, then Obito's feelings would portray onto the readers.
Well its not THAT bad
could have been much worse

AGREE!! it's getting too much..If Rin was apart of the manga long enough for us to have some type of connection. That would have been a lot more motivating, but no one cares about Rin. Obito is losing his mind. Thinks about Rin and his mind comes back. No, Kishi. No.
Actually I think it was Minato's "Obito I am coming" and the question "Who are you?" made Obito pull himself together. Also notice how the entire Team Minato picture reformed not only the Rin part... which indicates that his feeling for each each member of his team is the reason for his transformation (Rin is the major cause not the only one) .....
