What exactly does the Twin Lion Fists do?
I don't think we got a chance to see it's full power and what it does, but it's enough to break Pain's chakra rods from what we've seen so far, right?
I wonder if there is an upgrade to it or if it is related to something important like the Sage or the cat Bijuu
Here's my take on it.....firstly, it is a very strong jutsu...why? BECAUSE HINATA RULES....No I'm kidding yet am not
My reason for this assumption is firstly because we've ALMOST Seen it TWICE.
1) Against Pain: So manga wise, we see Pain moving back while fighting...we know some contact is made because the little contact diamonds are made around Hinata's swirls meaning Pain is simply casually blocking. However, as soon as Twin Lion Fists comes into play...Pain landslides her into the dirt...immediately.
2) MokuJoukie: We see Hinata use 64 palms on the MokuJoukie and its heavily wounded...some may say this made Hinata look weak...but check this....A) The Juubi has HEAVILY resistant skin/defense...withstanding a point blank TBB in its mouth, B) Jyuuken targets internal organs and chakra points......the Mokujoukies probably have no organs...and since the Juubi is more of a natural energy complex it has no real chakra network...so it is logical it didn't die...
Back on topic, she is last scene activating her Fists...and it cuts away AGAIN.
So my theory is similar to Crystal Chakra....My guess is that wherever that Lion head bites down on...the enclosed area of the enemy's chakra network is completely shut down.....and obviously internal organs are going to get wrecked. You could say its literally like a lion bit. Say for example....Hinata's chakra Lion and a real lion bit your shoulder.
Real Lion: The Teeth are going to sink into your skin as its teeth dig into you. This causes 1) Pain, 2) Tearing of flesh, 3) Tearing of tendons, 4) Tearing of ligaments. In short...your shoulder is torn to shreds, and additionally this causes extreme pain as well as the loss of use in one's shoulder, and by extension one's arm attatched to said shoulder.
Hinata's Chakra: The Gentle fist is all about internal damage so think of it as a Lion bite equivalent. Instead of tearing through flesh, ligaments, and tendons......the chakra is going to tear into the chakra network, and cause insane levels of damage to internal organs. While no initial Pain would be felt...if Hinata just grazed an organ, or missed a bit on a strike....you could suffer the extreme pain of having your organs fail slowly...causing basically death by internal bleeding. Twin Lion fists could be one way to truly have a "Gentle Fist"...namely speaking if correctly targeted on the heart or say the head....the failure of the heart or brain (if fast enough) could cause one to immediately be rendered unconscious or dead.....quick and painless.
