Yeah, that definitely had a part in it. But I think he also knew how great he could be, Minato was thought to be the child of prophecy and was already more of a legend, even though he was much younger than Oro. But realistically I've got Minato, Itachi, and Orochimaru extremely close. Like 1a, 1b, and 1c. In a fight to the death I think its way too close to call for them really

If so...then I'd agree with your list for the most part...especially since we have only seen the epicosity of an extremely old Hiruzen.

Naruto and Sasuke are hard to place....Kurama noted he's above Minato, but he may not be above Edo Minato. Sasuke being Naruto's equal they kind of share the same fate.

Sometimes I want to say Gai is better than Kakashi...but Kakashi is simply more diverse in tactical offense so I'll give you that one.

1-obito (MS+kamui+Mokuton+Rinnegan+Juubi).
2-Naruto (SM, KCM, BM, S-rank rasnegans, toad summoning, second best sensor).
3-sasuke (EMS, enton, susanoo, snake summoning, S-rank lightning).
4-itachi (MS, tskuyomi, susanoo, amatersu, best genjutsu)
5-kakashi (MS, kamui, S-rank lightning, dogs summoning, 3 chakra natures, 1000 + techs)
6-Minato (KCM, A-rank rasengans, toad summoning, FTG).
7-orochimaru (snake ninjutsu, snake summoning, edo tensie).
8-jiraiya (toad ninjutsu, toad summoning, SM, A-rank rasengans).
9-tsundae (monstrous strength, medical ninjutsu, senju and uzumaki powers, 100 stength).

Hiruzen was trained by tobirama and hashirama so they were born in the leaf

So is Minato, remember how he analyzed Tobi's Kamui and found out a way to defeat him, his speed and sealing techniques certainly play a big role against Oro..

Lol in his current state...I'd say Orochimaru deffinatly stands at the pedestal of Top Dog of Konoha Born Shinobi with Three Hokage at is command plus who knows what else....he also has the option to mind wipe Hashirama..weakens him, but he can always just de-summon him.


Though I did forget Danzo....I'd put him in around Itachi.....though I'll give Itachi the benefit of the doubt.

OHHH...if current powers (or powers at death....Jiraiya and Danzo)...I'd probably throw Hiruzen after Naruto and Sasuke then.

Also...if we are counting Kabuto as a Konoha Shinobi I guess he'd actually be off the list with his current condition....otherwise I'd put him at number one during his prime of the Edo Onslaught.....Kabuto never seemed a Konoha shinobi as much as a temporary Danzo tool that was then Orochimaru's Hidden Sound Shinobi.

Itachi vs Orochimaru I'd loved to see. I can't see Itachi being that much better than him, I think Orochimaru's actually allows him to keep up with Itachi considering the two of them are in top three or four smartest ninja from Naruto. (I don't count Shikamaru cause he doesn't seem to apply his intelligence unless he has to, and going off iq alone isn't anywhere near foolproof)

I think the same sometimes, if Gai ever showed us much ninjutsu I'd put him above him. He took out Kisame, and realistically I haven't seen Kakashi defeat anyone of his level.

1st of all we don't know if Oro had figured out how to counter each and every sealing tech of minato, and Oro was able to take out four tailed Naruto because he didn't know how to control Kurama chakra (he even injured Sakura) and minato is better in controlling it..
