Despite the last manga, I still think people are wayy overrating him. Before I go any further, I'd just like to say that Obito is one of my favorite character but still I will have to go against his fanboys despite my different opinion about him.
Obito is overrated because of his Kamui. Of course Kamui is incredibly useful but some ninjas can still take him down if they manage to see how kamui works and counter it. Just a few ninja discovered how to counter it such as Minato, konan and Kakashi. What piss me off is the fact that Obito doesn't have both his sharingan. If he did, he would be OP as **** and I won't have any reason to complain but he doesn't.
If Obito had to go 1vs1 against Kakashi with ''full energie'', I'm sure Obito would hardly win but only because of Kakashi's low stamina compared to Obito who has senju DNA (kinda unfair but still). I'm sure the latest chapter showed how Kakashi outclass Obito in some extent and was always stronger than him since they first meet. Obito is a great villain and all (because of madara) but I can't see how people always putted him in the top 3. He's unskilled with his Rinnegan, haven't shown any feat with Mokuton since his rampage after seeing Rin dead and relies too much on Kamui.
Timeline:
-Always got owned by Kakashi when he was young.
-Lost to Minato even though he had intel on him when Minato didn't.
-''Died'' against konan, stolen sharingan saved his ass.
-Failed to capture Naruto despite all his attempts, even with the tailed beast.
-Beaten by Kakashi just like in the early days.
-Humiliated by Madara.
IMO, Obito is just that kind of guy that's super smart and will start a fight prepared, such as having the nine-tails in his control or the paths. His immense knowledge make's him a very dangerous guy and if you don't know how kamui works, your dead. However, if you do, you can pretty much cause him trouble and it's even worst when his opponent also has Kamui (Kakashi).
... If only Obito had both his eyes, he would be OP as ****. Maybe if he dies because of Madara, Kakashi will take his second eye as another gift from him to save the world or maybe the contrary will happen. In both case, he'll end up good.
