Wanna know what Kishimoto is rather famous for in the Narutoverse?

Foreshadowing.

Kishimoto has never, to this day, foreshadowed anything without a purpose.

Today's chapter, Sasuke's "Burn" quote. Sai's comment. It foreshadowed Sasuke having ulterior motives. Kishi does not foreshadow with a purpose.

Kishimoto can either foreshadow things vaguely and make it 99% impossible for us to figure out, or he can do what he done today, and give us a very clear understanding of what's going to happen.

Please stop trying to deny it, it's like people denying Naruto and Hinata. The foreshadowing has been clear since episode one, people still try and make counter-theories, but it's useless. We know they're going to be together ( Don't turn this into a pairings flame war, please. Just an example. )

The foreshadowing as explained in the post is that Sasuke has an ulterior motive. It was actually hinted a few chapters back when Jugo was questioning him.

Unless someone has the power of foresight or being Kishi himself then one can only speculate as to what they are foreshadowing. The OP (I believe) is implying the foreshadowing is of Sasuke's betrayal to Naruto.

I don't think he has a ulterior motive. I think that Jugo is just surprised at how Sasuke changed so quickly. We will have to wait and see it in the next chapter. But Sasuke was never a person who has secret motives ,he always does how he says.

I had one idea but not sure if I should mention it but I will anyway

Sasuke wants to be Hokage but he does not care if anyone acknowledges him or not. Well I reckon 99% of the people will not agree to him being Hokage, so in my opinion it will leave Sasuke to battle Naruto for the Hokage title however I believe he will do everything he can to enforce this & in my opinion Naruto has the upperhand, so the only way I can think of with Sasuke enforcing his will upon everyone is for him to attempt to be the Juubi host.

Guess it a silly idea but I like to listen to all ideas if it explained instead of just a few words & no explanationZzz

I keep thinking it'll play out sort of like Naruto and Hinata in chapter 615, but obviously more intense and dangerous. They did try to kill each other in the past. lol
