Everyone seems to think she is a ***** regardless. It's "cool" to hate Sakura. I think she is in love with him. She just can't see it/come to terms with it until she has a resolution with Sasuke, and that resolution of being done with him romantically.

But that's where fans would rant and say if Sakura could forget her feelings for Sasuke in a snap why couldn't Naruto do the same for Sakura. Sakura already admitted to still being in love with Sasuke in chapter 540 and frankly nothing has debunked that so far. Sakura, just like Naruto has not returned feelings for Hinata, has yet to do the same for Naruto.

Actually, this is a good point. Today there is not a proof of Sakura loving Sasuke romantically. These feelings were kept locked in part 1.

What remains until now is just the guilt of lefting him, and just a classical "Sasuke kun" in middle of a battle

I believe the problem people had with the Sasuke-kun thing was the fact that they both saved her and she acknowledged Sasuke first but OVERALL what really pissed people off was that Naruto had to say "um I'm here too Sakura chan". It didnt bother me pairing wise because its her decision but the fact that Naruto had to say oh im here too Sakura was a bit like the ****? Granted its another team 7 thing but for me it's like Sakura took two steps back from her badass moment and she could've acknowledged Naruto too.

Sakuras confession of still being in love with Sasuke in chapter 540 and her attempt to kill him because she loves him too much were kind of proof of her feelings.

Well, you said "It makes her sound like the only reason she exists is to be a competitor for his affection" when actually that is one of the reasons of Hinata`s character, same goes for Sakura, the love triangle thing usualy atracts popularity to the manga. But yes, i agree with you in the point that she does not "deserve" his love, however Naruto should give her a chance...

I really would hope that the author of a world-renowned manga wouldn't have women in his manga with the sole intent of them drooling over his protagonist. Not only is that pretty despicable but it's some of the worst writing I can really imagine.

Did you not see Chapter 540? The fodder love letter guy. The guy she reflected to being in love with was clearly Sasuke. If she was in love with bad Sasuke how is she not going to love him now that he back good Sasuke. I never understood that.
