[Theory] Obito is trying to save the world. His ultimate plan.

A lot of people heat on Obito over being "an idiot" who is trying to destroy the world by using the Moon's Eye Plan and giving everything up for an "illusion." That's completely wrong. Obito's ultimate plan is to re-create reality itself, and is NOT settling for a genjutsu. His plan is to use the Sage's Creation of All Things technique or the "Perfect Izanagi". This has been subtly hinted a few times in the manga so here are a few. Here Konan calls the Uchiha and Senju in one the power of the Six Paths.

Soon after Izanagi is used, Obito explained the details on Yin and Yang mixing together into the Yin-Yang element to create, the sage's "Creaton of All Things" jutsu. Izanagi is just a weak version of it. He specifically says it allows you to turn IMAGINATION into REALITY.

Here Obito states he will CREATE a world with Rin in it and that it's up to him. A savior mentallity.

Obito states he will put an END to all this while Kakashi images appear. Kakashi represents the way of the ninja and Obito said he'd destroy the way of the ninja. He wants to create a world that does not need them.

Madara reveals he is able to expand the limits of his Genjutsu (Yin Release) with the Heretical Demon Statue (Made of Wood Release/Yang?). Curiously if the statue is supposed to be the power of the Rinnegan why would Madara need it? Anyways, by adding those two he can make anything in his Genjutsu.

which means Yin-Yang release, further re-inforcing that Obito wants to use Creation of All Things to make the Moon's Eye world a REALITY.

Obito clearly states ALL ninja in this world are trash. As he stated as a child, he is going to destroy the way of the ninja.

So to re-iterate, Obito plans to pull everyone into the same Genjutsu with Madara's Moon's Eye Plan and then use the endless chakra and perhaps Yang energy from the ten tails to provide the requirements for Yin-Yang. He'll use the Sage's Creation of All Things Jutsu to breathe life into that dream world and turn it into reality. This is why Obito does not worry about all the people he's killing since he can just "Izanagi" them back to life anyways. This is the reason Obito has not used the RINnegan to revive Rin. Obito's priority is to end the way of the ninja and created a perfect world for Rin and Kakashi to be together. He is trying to save the world.​

Actually, Naruto is a "hero" while Obito is a hero. Naruto has good INTENT while Obito will actually do what NEEDS TO BE DONE rather than go for wishful thinking. I got the feeling Kishimoto will surprise us and not pull some clich'ed crap out. Anyways, remember Kishi foreshadows a lot. Take note of the convenient placement of the clues. I think it's rather obvious but people somehow still believe Obito just wants to catch people in a mere Genjutsu when he could have revived Rin already with the Rinnegan...

Oh and Obito was not happy to see Madara because he knows he had to do something with Rin's death. He also knows Madara is powerhungry and does not really have the best intent in mind. Obito has to play the part because Black Zetsu is Madara's will and keeping an eye on him.

Yes, there aren't that many characters who are genuinly evil. There so called 'evilness' just comes from traumatic experiences. I always cringe when I see people saying that Obito turned evil because Rin died.

Rin's death did indeed contribute a lot to his reasoning alongside the cynism of Madara who he lived with for some time. And seeing his best friend kill his other best friend and love interest is simply a traumatic experience. Some people here show little empathy on that subject.

Also, young people are more vulnerable to extremist thoughts.

You are right. But the people who say Obito's sole reason was Rin don't pay attention to the manga. It's a lot more complex. In fact, the "Ninja are trash" and "I will destroy the way of the Ninja" has come up more than Rin. Kakashi has abided by the way of the ninja while Obito has done the opposite. This is why they're going to have a one on one deathmatch soon.

Not really, Honored. He is trying to create an ideal reality where everyone is happy and where there is no war. Somehow he'd have to filter out the hateful ones like Madara by reading their mind with Genjutsu or something to create a perfect reality. Perhaps using Izanami on someone like Madara could help.

Anyways, dictator counts as Madara Uchiha who is doing this for a power trip and control as he had with the Bloody Mist. Obito on the other hand is doing it will good intent. I say this is more noble than wishful thinking and trusting people to attain peace. Such injustices will go forever unless Obito breaks the cycle a he stated.
