1. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Forever my favourite piece of fiction ever. Nothing has ever inspired or brought me as many indescribable emotions and life lessons as Tengen Toppa.

2. Naruto
No other show could keep me as invested for all these years. I will follow this manga no matter how many bad turns it makes. No show has better characters than this one.

3. Ano Hana (The Flower We Saw That Day)
The most emotional and painfully sad thing i've ever watched. This is the first piece of fiction to make me cry. I haven't dared go back to it for just this reason. More addictive and better cliffhangers than even DEATH NOTE.

4. Soul Eater
Who cares if it deviates from the manga near the end? Soul Eater is the perfectly crafted anime. There is no anime more stylish and perfectly made in my opinion. It had amazing fights, loads of epic moments and knew exactly when to end. Also has the best female protagonist ever.

5. Naruto SD
I know right? A comedy relief spin off above masterpieces like FMA & Death Note? Naruto SD is more than that. It is the perfect comedy relief that the Narutoverse needed, it captures my exact sense of humour and sometimes Naruto SD is just batsh*t crazy. Sometimes I even say I prefer SD to Shippuden, but it's not like that. It's a different kind of love. Underneath all of the parodies of Naruto characters (seriously, Orochimaru wears a tutu, often) and the inane bullsh*t there is actually a really sensitive and heart-warming show here. The final episode was fantastic and I will probably miss it more than any other anime.

6. Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
The original FMA bored me to tears, Brotherhood though? Near-masterpiece. The 7 Sins are properly used, the story is finally how it was meant to be told and although it has a slow start, FMA:B has the best finale ever. Every character serves their purpose and every character's story get's perfectly wrapped up. It feels like more than an anime.

7. Baccano!
This doesn't even feel like a real anime. This is a narrative-driven anime that reminds me of things like Pulp Fiction & Snatch. Huge cast whose stories overlap, so it's impossible not to like at least one of the stories.

8. My Little Monster!
The cutest anime romance you will ever watch. The first series ended on a bit of an ambiguous ending but I fell in love with literally all of the characters and even if you think awkward love triangles might be cringey, this makes them genuinely interesting to follow. An unlikely romance.

9. Fooly Cooly
My god I would love to know what this show is about. I have no idea, it is pure mecha driven, directionless insanity. But yet it is fantastic. AND. I. DONT. KNOW. WHY.

10. Death Note
Death Note is on everyones Top 10. Psychological cat & mouse game is fantastic to follow. The cliffhangers and plot twists are immense and the morality involved is also highly interesting too. I actually prefer the Near & Mello arcs myself and the show is VERY unexpected. Seriously, nobody is safe, EVER in Death Note. And that's why I love it.
