I think they're very different things. It would be nice if they did the same thing they did with Full metal and made an alternate version where it follows the plot to a T but Soul Eater still remains an amazing anime. The art is drastically different but it's each to their own. I actually read the manga and I SO prefer Maka & Chrona VS Medusa & Stein and everyone VS Kishin Asura than they did it in the manga. Medusa/Maka VS Arachne..... eh. I honestly can say I prefer the anime version of the story.

...No, I actually respected Medusa for being able to use her enemy's force for her own benefit. That was what made her a gud antagonist, not needing a huge army to be an actual threat...after all Medusa was just using the Shibusen to attain a new body, she was ready to stab them in the back anytime. Also, the fact Shinigami -even tho Asura's revival was Medusa's fault- decided to take down Arachne whatever the cost is what brings moral questions on the Shibusen. I don't see any of that in the anime (besides, I loved the battle of Black Star vs Mifune way more, it was the milestone in Black Star's development, very very touching; not to mention Kid's abduction was very thrilling).
Also, Asura was suppose to not be able to trust anyone unless they were under his complete control, so I found real dumb the scene in which he was with Arachne. The fodders wouldn't be able to stand Asura without getting insane, and hence falling under his control. Also, it's nice to see Maka defeating her opponents with more than a punch (that was fuking silly).

Well, it's just 2 different opinions. Medusa didn't like, initiate a battle or go around like she wasn't hiding from the shadows, that's EXACTLY what she did in the anime too, it's just she was defending herself from Maka, Chrona and then Stein. Also Maka doesn't just defeat Asura with a punch did she? She overcomes everything Asura thinks the world is, that's the point. It's a psychological and metaphorical finale. Maka has the courage to defeat insanity, pain and fear and overcomes it, thus overcoming the Kishin.
The anime is a fine anime, I don't blame it for taking a different route and I like both versions but the anime will be my favourite. I like that it wraps up, it wraps up well.

Loved it. I thought it was perfect and sad that they didn't give Simon an entirely happy ending. It would all be a little bit too cliche and it REALLY hurt too as I loved Nia. The final fight was so epic and that final stretch where TTGL kept getting defeated and passing on the next mecha until it just got to Simon and his drill is the best sequence in any anime. Ever.

I can probably foresee a movie in the future where Simon comes back to stop the spiral nemesis.

What is Naruto doing above Death Note?! Death Note is really complex and well written, it's one of if not the best animes ever.


Where's Berserk at too? It's also a really good anime. Naruto is mediocre at best nowhere near #2.

Death note falls lower for me because of much unnecessary detail it can put into things that don't really matter like a door switch and a tennis match. If it were more concise then it'd be perfect. It also doesn't have too much replay value. For me, not just in terms of quality- Naruto will always mean much more to me- that's why despite all the flaws it stays at #2. It's just become too big a part of my life to not. Also we ARE on a Naruto forum. Also I have never watched beserk.

it seems like you barely watch any anime.

Where is OP, Bleach, Code gease, Samurai champloo, DBZ, and so muuch more

From that list is seems you have a pretty limited selection of anime yourself. I've watched well over 30 series at least, DBZ is garbage, Bleach is too generic, Code Geass didn't hold my attention at all, i'm getting through OP steadily and Samurai Champloo is fun but nothing noteworthy.

Quite a strange taste you have there, but to each their own I guess. TTGL is really awesome though! Personally, I didn't really enjoy DN, it was oke, but nothing spectaculair IMO.

Yeah it's written well but the pacing is too off and some episodes are just too far-fetched to make it an actual contender for the top 5 or anything.

Some really good anime in there! DBZ, Fairy Tail are a bit too PG-shonen for my liking and i'd love to enjoy KLK as much as I did TTGL but other than that I agree
