Please tell me..........why is it that Madara shares even a fraction of the blame for the way things turned out?
Please think hard about my following statement:
If Madara was truly all of these things that most people of NB believe him to be:
EVIL
POWER HUNGRY
CRAZY........
Then why did Madara stop Hashirama from killing himself?
The way I see it, that would have been perfect for him, seeing as how Hashirama was the only one who could stop him in that era, he was the leader of his enemies, the Senju.
Hashirama's death would have paved the way for the annihilation of the Senju clan as there would be no one else left to stand up to Madara's power.
Madara stopped him because he was convinced of Hashirama's intentions and resolve.
It was completely clarified with that action, that Madara completely forgave the Senju clan for the deaths of his FOUR BROTHERS!
Madara abandoned all of his ill feelings and put all of his trust in the alliance and the dream he once shared with his old friend............which was..........HARMONY and PEACE through LOVE and TRUST!
"SHOWING THEIR GUTS TO EACH OTHER"
But ONE PERSON just couldn't let go of the past.
ONE PERSON just didn't understand the meaning of a fresh start or a peace treaty.

Madara...........lost his whole family to the war with the Senju, 4 siblings and his Father!
If the Uchiha were so prone to hatred as Tobirama believed, then how come Madara gave up on that hatred and his revenge?
How was it that after all the losses that Madara suffered, he was still able to shun his hatred and start anew?
After the peace began, all that Madara had left was his promise to his younger brother Izuna, the protection of their clan!
Tobirama's distrust took that away from Madara!
Madara foresaw that sooner or later, the Uchiha would face extinction at the hands of the Senju because of Tobirama's prejudice, who was next in line for leadership.
So he did the only thing any man would do for the protection of his people, even after the people whom he cared for had abandoned him.
He attacked the Senju before they had a chance to make the first move!
