At the end of Part 1, Naruto was much stronger than Sasuke because of his summoning jutsu. In fact, Gamabunta could have soloed both of them. So why the fuzz didn't Naruto summon if he was really serious about bringing Sasuke back?

It may have had something along the lines that at the time, Gammabunta still didn't exactly like Naruto, and the risk of actually killing him?!

Also probably because the fight would have ended pretty much right there.

Maybe, Gmabunta was busy with Jiraiaya?

Oh no...not this again. There was a thread recently about Gamabunta not being summoned in that fight and it became a huge thread.

My guess is that Naruto wanted the fight to be a fair one on one thing. However, that logic is still stupid because the mission was to bring back Sasuke. Naruto holding back and not summoning Gamabunta was detrimental to the mission and it failed.

But Naruto being Naruto wanted to fight him fairly probably

Plot-No-Jutsu...I mean what's the point of Naruto using the Food Cart Destroyer Tech to kill Sasuke right then and there? It would kinda end the whole story.

Naruto would have had no way to even know what Gamabunta was doing at that moment. He just didn't try period

i dont think naruto could summon him without kyuubi chakra at the time, and then when he did get the chakra he probably didnt want to waste it to have him reject naruto.

I remember Bunta being pretty chummy with Naruto after the attack on the leaf by the Sand.

Naruto didn't try. He would have gotten some toad at least.

I must have missed that thread.
But yeah it just seems silly. A very large mess would have been avoided had Naruto acted responsibly.

No not summoning Gamabunta was smart. He dosen't listen to Naruto so he could have possibly killed Sasuke......or maybe even both of them he only wanted to capture Sasuke that's also why he aimed that Rasengan at Sasuke's headband instead of in his face or chest.

He doesn't listen to anyone per se. But he's not evil.

And to the person above Gamabunta is quite capable of knocking Sasuke out.

Naruto didn't really act responsibly for a long when it came to Sasuke. I just hate how it became more like a battle of rivals instead of Naruto completing a mission. It was a mission! He should have used everything in his power.

I understand Bunta may not have cooperated and killed Sasuke, but honestly, Sasuke was deserting his village and on the way to becoming a missing-nin. His death would have been warranted.

If you can't capture him alive, death would have been acceptable. A shinobi's first responsibility is to his village and Sasuke was betraying the village. He got special treatment for a long time after he left. Any other shinobi would have been hunted down and killed.

I think because bringing sasuke back wasnt just a mission for naruto. It was a personal test, he had to see if he was on equal grounds with sasuke. And Naruto cared for him [still does ] and he had to bring back sasuke on his own. It was a personal battle not just a mission.

He wasn't trying to kill also towards the end the fight was about respect. A man v man thing with no big frogs to help you if you can't hack it.

Not this ''Why didn't Naruto summon Gamabunta at the VOTE versus Sasuke'' crap again.
Besides, Sasuke would've fried that toad with his Chidori spam and Katon.
Face it, your boy lost.
Good day.
