Why is Minato The Fatest and Not Obito?

Minato is considered "the fastest" because of his base speed, not just his space-time ninjutsu. Although that adds to his title, he's pretty damn fast on his own. Obito's S/T ninjutsu I feel is somewhat inferior speed-wise, seeing as he has to bring his body into another dimension and then bring it back out, whereas Minato's S/T simply requires a seal. I feel that statement in general didn't really make sense, but what I think Minato meant was that Obito's S/T ninjutsu wasn't "faster" but simply more efficient.

You just answered your own question. If space/time techs don't mean actual speed isn't Obito's speed because of his space/time.

I do, He fended off KM naruto, kakashi and gai simultaneously. IMO he's #2 in terms of speed

im glad you consider him as a fast opponent because it makes no sense consider minato deadly fast and not obito for using the same techniques

Well, not actually.If a person doesn't use the justu for speed then of course he can't be considered as one of the fastest.
We never saw Obito use his kamui like that.
Obito has the jutsu but he lacks reflects,knowledge and thinking ahead of situations,so he can't be consider fast.Minato on the other hand had all that traits which,combined with the jutsu knowledge and power,made him the fastest shinobi.

i can agree with that but still obito should be considered one of the fastest as well because he has space time jutsu just like minato even if he has a good base speed, he still uses the space time which enhances his speed.

Obito does not lack any of those bolded traits...He just simply has a slower s/t tech than minato.

Minato really isn't fastest. To use his superior speed, he has to freakin' throw the kunai. Sure, it can reach it's location in about 1 sec. But in that same time, Might Guy, Raikage, Naruto, etc. can get to the same point and kill several. Minato is overrated, and that's no the only way.

PS, I'm not hating on Minaot. He's one of my favorites in the series; I just think people put him above where he is.

well, he thats not only has to throw the kuna but give a mark just by touching objects
