When trying to make his escape, Orochimaru stops Tobirama dead in his tracks. Hashirama praises Orochimaru because he was able to use senju cells to strengthen his bond with edo-tensei.
So we know it's a question of senju cells/releasing signs and not excessive chakra to break out of edo-tensei.
Why, then, wasn't Tobirama able to escape? He is also senju and brother to Hashirama.
Are Hashirama's cells so unique that they allow him to break free of edo-tensei with ease?
Well, however unique his cells are, they don't explain how Hashirama was able to escape whilst Orochimaru tried to restrain him (and Oro's current body structure is mostly made up of Hashirama cells too, having eaten a Zetsu).
And since Oro is nested in a Zetsu body, one would expect a showdown or at least a struggle to break free of senju-reinforced edo-tensei. But Hashirama just walks all over his brother's improved technique.
Lame right? Or did I miss something..
