[Discussion] Why I don't believe we'll go to Heaven when we die

Sadly my freind there is heaven and based of what you did in your life if you did good and prayed for god then you will go to heaven but if you did bad in Real life sadly you will go to hell.

1. Read what he said in the post.
2. You provide no more than 0% reasoning for this "fact". I could just as easily tell you "Sadly my friend there is unicronz and based of what you did in your life if you did and fed them all of your corn and chocolate chips then you will get to ride them after you die in a land of pretty girls and fast internet but if you did bad they send you to a scary place in the swamps where a repulsive, old, greasy, fat man that spends eternity covering your face in fried chicken, peanut butter, and creamy coleslaw and then proceeds to softly and gently lick and nibble it off.
3. Moral of the story - Yes, religion itself has never been completely disproven (even though many things in the religious texts that are supposedly the "word of god" have been shown to be ridiculously incorrect.) but you can't ASSUME it's correct just because it hasn't been. Plenty of scientific research has been proven, so why not ASSUME that everything modern research suggests is correct (I'm not saying this is true.)?

He raised Lazarus from the dead so that Martha, Mary and all the other Jews that were there and loved Lazarus would truly believe that Jesus was sent from God and that nothing is impossible for him as long as you trust in Jesus.

That is if you believe a person goes straight to heaven/hell after he/she dies.
I personally believe that when we die, it'll be almost as if we were "sleeping" being somewhat unconcious.
Then we will go to heaven or hell when Jesus has passed judgement on all of us - and he wont do that until he once again returns to us.
But that's just my opinion

This is the thing I dislike about religious people. Why is it that you need to insist that what you believe is absolute and others are wrong? At least I had the decency to acknowledge that you may indeed be right and that what I believe may be wrong.

I never once said you were wrong in any way. I just said that it doesn't say that in the Christian Bible. That is all. And, you made the mistake of thinking that I'm a religious man, which I am not. I was just informing you.
