Yup Zoro is stronger but he is trying his very best every arc to appear weaker. He likes to get pushed around by middle men because he can't be bothered to face the boss of the arc because that is too much hassle, so he leaves that to Luffy.

Oda didn't say that exactly. He said something along the lines that they were equal in prowess. Which was in one of the databooks i believe.

oda never said that you plep, nor did he even say that they were equal. It was in the databook long ago that they stand "shoulder to shoulder in terms of combat ability" and databook is not written or made by oda himself, just general opinions that are supervised by him just like some movies.

That's not true, the databooks are written by One Piece editors, and Oda just sends them sketches and other cool stuff. He has nothing to do with those, just a piece of One Piece merchandise.

Zoro and Luffy were more or less equals until the introduction of gears where Luffy set himself apart.

Don't know about one being stronger than the other, that was never stated.

Idk Zoro is very different. He's stronger then luffy but hes weaker then luffy G4. After timeskip Zoro hasnt really fought to his fullest yet. Lets just say if Zoro fights jack (if it happens) hes gonna pull out some crazy $h!t.

If you consider the databook canon for that reason the. You might as well use feats from strong world. It has his name for marketing which alot of people don't seem to understand

Also Sanji in hells memories etc with flame around him should be able to do damage to luffy
