You have to be at least DD level to hold off a Admiral for a while . DD is two times stronger then Luffy, who in turn is stronger then Zoro.
Zoro almost got one-shotted by Issho. He is most certainly not capable of holding off a Admiral for a while. Unless by while you mean a couple of seconds.

I love Zoro but those who say Zoro can even challenge Kizaru are kinda dumb. Kizaru has the strongest DF and is severely nerfed in the manga. He could probably solo the strawhats as they are right now

Zoro loses imo. Kizaru is beyond haxxed is strength is increased so much because of his Devil fruit what that being said add Haki on that and he should plow through Zoro defense.

If pple tried to read in between the lines u wldnt get these things really.
Shakky claims her Guy is 100x better than the boys then Rayleigh comes and tumbles with an admiral so by that we can say by shakky's judgement admirals were 100x or there about tbetter han the sh/SN before the time skip. Zoro who kinda mirrors Rayleigh comes after the timeskip with his attacks that carry numbers in their names now 10x stronger so for now pple its safe to say for Zoro to give a performance often similar magnitude to that of Rayleigh vs kizaru(and that is what holding off an Admiral entails) 1080 pound ho needs to b around 10 800pound ho.
Im not saying that this way to look at things is spot on or that it is an actual scaling but it shld give u better perspective of how Oda goes with things.
