[Discussion] Zeref's Curse

Its not clear whether Zeref truly is evil.
He has that curse. So until we know how he got it or why he got it we cant say for sure.

I mean is it possible for there to be someone far more evil, and powerful, than Zeref. Now that would be something.
Its not entirely impossible. A lot of people thought Jella was evil yet he was only being manipulated by Ultear.
Maybe thats something similar with Zeref.

Zeref never really seemed evil to me. More like someone who's been forced into an impossible situation. It really is a contradiction, to have to hold no value for life in order to save it, but when it has value, it's uncontrollably sucked away. FOREVER. More than anything, I think he's just sad and frustrated at his situation, and resentful that no one has been able to put and end to him yet.

So not evil, just suffering from never-ending teenage angst, with a hint of death magic.

Zeref clearly shows that he cares, or at least that he doesn't want to kill
