Looks: Zayn Malik gets his looks from both his mother and father, who are both relatively good looking people with dark hair, brown eyes, and creamy white skin. He is of a slim, relatively muscled build, and is about average height. Unlike most ninja, he tends to wear regular everyday clothes while not on a mission or an official meeting. When in uniform, he wears a standard Iwarian vest, and his red clothed Iwa headband across his forehead, pushing his dark hair up with it. When he wears everyday attire, he tends to wear either dark jeans or khaki colored chinos and he usually wears a shirt based on some type of famous music group. He has multiple tattoos on his body, so far 9 and he wants more. He has a yin-yang symbol on his wrist, a tattoo of crossed fingers on his forearm, an inscription tattoo of his grandfather's name "Walter" on his chest, a playing card on his side/stomach, a heart on his stomach(which was previously the Chinese symbol for "born lucky", but was covered up by the heart), a fern on the back his neck, an inscription on his collarbone reading "be true to who you are", a tattoo of a puzzle piece near his elbow and finally a microphone on his forearm. People see him as having the bad boy appearance because of his smoking and tattoos. Usually his hair is perfectly quiffed, but at times he does just let it down, it taking a long amount of time to do. After becoming a part of the Luciano family, Zayn added blonde highlights to his hair and when officially meeting with the family wears a black and grey suit and tie.
Personality: Zayn Malik as a child was a very hyperactive person, often playing around his neighborhood, making his neighbors laugh and playing with his younger sisters. Although he has changed greatly once becoming at teen, he still at times expresses that youthful attitude he had back then, especially around people he's comfortable around. Zayn is an interesting person. He is a relatively peaceful person and really likes to relax. Some call him lazy and Zayn doesn't deny it when brought up to him. He is a nice person and tries to be nice to everyone, but rarely completely opens up to anyone entirely as he is not comfortable doing so. Zayn is a quiet-ish person when you first meet him, usually answering question with short statements and not really acting his natural goofball self. When you get to know him and he feels comfortable around you, he is a bundle of excitement and entertainment. He likes to sing and even though he can't dance, as he has stating on multiple occasions, he does so every once in a while to have a laugh. People usually think of Zayn as a vain and proud person, and although it being somewhat true, isn't entirely. Even though it seems that he is confident about his looks and abilities at all times, he does have his moments in which he sits around in his own self-pity, seeing himself as an ugly and weak person, but having to snap himself out of that mood or having someone else snapping his out of it. Just like he can begin joking around at a moments notice, he can become serious just as fast, being forced to by certain situations. When in such a situation, he can be one of the most serious people you know. When he is not on a mission or training, he tends to sit a home and sleep or listen to music, enjoying his time off. Some people think that he is the constantly brooding type, but in all honesty, he is just very often lost in though, looking off into space while doing this. Zayn tries to not do it as much, but it still happens quite often.

Background
History:
Malik had an easy going childhood. His parents were both very supportive of any and everything that he did, as well as his sisters. His mother, Patricia, was born as a Yuki but changed her surname due to marriage. She possesses the ability to create and control ice, passing it down to her children. His father, Yaser, was a Jōnin in the village of Kirigakure, being an excellent tactician and interrogator, having on multiple occasions been praised by the Mizukage. Zayn was the second child in his family, having an older sister named Doniya and two younger sisters named Waliyha and Safaa.
For the most part, he got along quite well with his family, especially when he was young. He was the apple of his father's eye, glad to have a son to pass down the family name. He always chose to spoil him, more than he did his daughters, which often got him in trouble with Patricia. Zayn knew his father loved him, and he was happy to know that he had so much love around him.
Zayn was a very happy and cheerful child. Always laughing, jumping around, singing, playing around with toys, and entertaining his family in any way he could. When having family get togethers, he'd typically stand in front of everyone, singing some song he'd learned recently, which always made everyone laugh and applaud him.
Zayn never really had a problem gaining friends when he was younger, by the time he was able to even understand what a friend was, he had quite a few. Although he had many, he and a neighbor named Louis Tomlinson had already dubbed each other as each other's best mates. Louis acting exactly like he did, but Zayn never really being able to reach Louis' level of crazy. Still they got along splendidly, spending most of their free time together, and even though Louis was a tad bit older than Zayn, that didn't affect their friendship.
Zayn started the Kirigakure ninja academy a bit sooner than most people were allowed to, his father and Louis' father, who was an instructor at the academy, pulling a few strings. This allowing him to start just a year after Louis had, besides the two or maybe even three originally. Due to Louis' short attention span and lack of interest in the academy, he managed to fail a year and had to repeat, this angering his dad greatly, but it not bothering him too much at all, as he knew he was a genius, just simply didn't care enough to put any actual work into school.
When it came to the academy, Zayn wouldn't have been considered naturally gifted. Things didn't come as easy to him as it did others, so he had to work harder than anyone else, Louis' having to help him out on assignments on multiple occasions, but Zayn managed, not wanting to disappoint his father.
Eventually both Zayn and Louis managed to graduate the academy, Louis deciding to take the initiative and not fall behind Zayn, and as luck would have it, they both ended up on the same squad, Zayn, being elated that he actually managed to be put on a squad with his best friend, knew that Louis' father had something to do with it and was very appreciative of it.
Zayn and Louis were put on a squad with a girl named Danielle Peazer, a pretty girl with very curly hair, and although she was an excellent kunoichi, she was a very excellent dancer, her fighting style actually revolving around dancing. Zayn thought she was pretty, but nothing more, not having any interest in her whatsoever. Danielle was a nice girl as well, very friendly and the team got along quite well.
Zayn and the rest of his squad went on many missions and eventually after a few months went and participated in The Chūnin Exams in Iwagakure where they met many interesting and friendly people.
Months after coming back from the exams, Zayn left Kirigakure for many personal reasons. After facing many difficult situations and meeting a lot of new people, he settled in Iwagakure where he met even more amazing people who he now knows as his family.
Eventually Zayn became part of The Luciano Family which consisted of many of his newly formed family members from Iwagakure.
