They cannot be detected by normal humans. Shinigami use their Zanpakutō, supernatural swords to fight. Shinigami also use t Kidō to fight.

U_U good -raises my Reiatsu which it starts pinning you down to the floor-
right now you have no Reiatsu at all, everyone who become a shinigami gets an zanpaktou...roku did a bad job xD but -releases my Reiatsu letting you get up and throws you a stick- i first must teach you how to fight before gaining a zanpaktou

to be able to handle your own zanpaktou you must have some sort of Reiatsu
so try to hit me by the time you do you would have some

i wont use my zanpaktou

sorry about this but i am getting bored -grabs my zanpaktou without unleashing it and slams it down on the air emitting a small blast of Reiatsu towards you- try to block that

Both Reiatsus collide and a big explosion occurs knocking me off my feet and destroying the stick
