Zangetsu's chain???

So anyway I was wondering if anyone else notices that the level of Ichigo's strength reflects the length of the chain on the blade.
I don't know if people have already realized this.

When Ichigo first used Bankai the chain on Tensa Zangetsu was pretty small however when Ichigo learnt the Final Getsuga Tenshou the chain was way larger up to the point where it wrapped round his arm several times and with some to spare.

Now when Ichigo used Bankai while fighting Ginjo the chain was longer than when he used it against Byakuya but it was shorted than when he gained the Final Getsuga Tenshou.

I'm curious in whether Ichigo's Bankia will evolve more as the arc carries on, will the chain get longer?

Some of you might just think nothing of it but I definitively think the length of the chain on Zangetsu is to show Ichigo's power.

The chain to be honest is a minor part to the bankai unless he is gonna use the chain to hold his zanpakuto, like hollow ichigo used the bandage around the shikai to hold the zanpakuto.

There was something about the "robe" aswell, that it was part of the bankai?

Yes the robe inidicates how much reiatsu Ichigo has left, for example after he fought Ulquiorra he was exhausted and we only saw a sleeve, while after Unohana healed him and brought his reiatsu back to normal, the clothes were fixed.

Yes that's what I thought at first but why would the chain get longer especially when Ichigo gains a boost in power so I doubt it's for either Ichigo or his hollow to hold since Hollow Ichigo never used the chain the same way he used the wrapping.

I've noticed this too actually. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Ichigo's Bankai changes in appearance some more. Apparently some people's Bankais change as you gain mastery over them. Renji and Hitsugaya's Bankais are supposed to be different now too according to Kubo

Yeah I read that as well somewhere I wonder if the Bankai robes will change.
