When you say Zabuza is 0 - 3 against Kakashi.. You are so wrong..

1- Team 7 saved Kakashi on the first encounter

2- On the second encounter Kakashi won pretty fair, but barely came out alife with a dangerous wound on his chest

3- On the war arc encounter, Kakashi needed help from the Nara and Yamanaka clan to find Zabuza on the mist...

The first one.
1. Who was sitting in the trees watching. Was it not Haku? Didn't he come back the second time and say Haku was watching your fighting abilities.
Now think about it when they went on the mission with Kakashi for the bridge builder they went as a unit. Why would they leave part of that unit to die. Even Sasuke said if we run now he will kill us. So they fought and release Kakashi.
He could have lost, but he did not lose... This is similar to when Gai fought Kisame and he had the three students in his water bubble. But guess what Zabuza could had made more clones, but he did not.

2. He won more than pretty close. He phucked him up with his summon dogs. When the match was over. Kakashi had enough even though he was assaulted to make a Kage Bushin.

3. Kakashi did need help, but it was pretty even because Zabuza had his partners the other six swordsmen.

Still 0-3 each time Zabuza defeated at the end.

Zabuza just does not have good team work.
