[Theory] Zabuza tried to kill Tobi

That thread is on a different matter no your theory is original and i am not sure why this was linked. Its similar but only in settings not substantially enough to be linked here.......... Sigh

As everyone probably remembers, Zabuza was kicked out of Kiri because he tried to assassinate the Mizukage who was most likely Yagura at the time. With this, Zabuza was initially portrayed as a hired assassin who was a traitor to his village; but after he died, he and Haku were portrayed more as good guys who just wanted to help their village

What I think really happened was that Tobi approached Zabuza after Kisame got kicked out of the village so Zabuza could personally work for Tobi just like Kisame did. But after Tobi realized that Zabuza was loyal to his village unlike Kisame, he and Yagura tried to kill him. After Zabuza was seen by Yagura's guards, Tobi probably warped away and it probably looked like Zabuza was trying to kill Yagura. That's why he escaped the village and was trying to raise money so that he could go back to Kiri and start a revolution there, because he knew that the Kiri was really being run by Tobi

We know a decent amount of info about Onoki and Iwa, we know a lot more about Kumo, Bee, and A, we know almost everything about Suna and Konoha, but we hardly know anything about Kiri. I honestly want to see an entire flashback about Kiri so we could figure out exactly what happened there when Tobi was controlling the village. It sounded pretty evil with the amount of killings and massacres they had in their village. But I think that Kishi is saving that flashback for after we find out Tobi's identity

its all cool and etc... but no, because kish never thought about that bs back then, Tobi didnt even exist in his mind, there is an interview where he talks about the leader of akatsuki and what was he original idea.

Pain was he original idea, he goes as far to say that he wanted some1 who enjoys pain, hence the ****ed up visual with rods and shit, so tobi and nagato were an asspull, he may explain some of their background, but he never thought about that shit when him introduced Zabuza or Obito...

I love this theory but I doubt Kishi was even thinking of Tobi's existence yet alone him controlling the Mizukage while he wrote the Zabuza arc, one of if not first arcs I believe, pre timeskip.

But awesome theory, congrats for thinking in a cool way. I love it :3

While it probably wasn't intentionally thought of, it's a fantastic idea that should be tied in anyways. In the world of ninja, seemlessly unreleated incidents can turn related with knowledge. While he can't have planned ahead for over 10 years, he definately might do that now.

And what people do forget is that the manga is 13 years old, it's not because of bad design or forgetting, but that 13 years is a very long time for a story to be slowly strung together.

I believe it just lets him know exactly who liked the thread really, while Reputation is ones general reputation around the forum.

Yah but Kishi left the Zabuza assassination so vague that he could somehow tie it into the story that the first two villains in Naruto were really good guys who were desperate to save their village from the main villain in the series. He didn't say why Zabuza tried killing Yagura, so he could easily make it another situation where Zabuza met Tobi just like Kisame and show how it goes wrong when Zabuza disagrees with him

Exactly it would be interesting to tie into the plot to make Zabuza and Haku true good guys

Yah and like I said before, I don't think a battle between Zabuza vs Yagura and Tobi would last long before Yagura's guards came to the rescue to see what the hell was going on. So Zabuza could easily survive for the few minutes if he fought Tobi and Yagura

No I'm pretty sure it was Yagura. You have to remember Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi fought Zabuza and Haku 3 years ago. So Zabuza must have defected even before that. With that in mind, the atrocities going on in the mist, and Tobi being the real person controlling the Mist, Zabuza would have a reason to assassinate Yagura. I'm pretty sure he would have still been part of the Mist if Mei was the one in charge

I personally think that Mei has only been in power for a few months to a year, not 3 years

He was a skilled enough shinobi that Tobi may not have been able to kill him if they fought. And the timeline makes you say hmmmmmmmmmmmmm good SH!T.
