Apparently you don't it requires one to already have a large amount of chakra and requires you to be able to absorb natural energy in the inescapable reality is that it never says that it is Sagemode that means you're making this all up just making assumptions that's what fanfiction is or a baseless theory your title suggests that it's fact and make it seem that you stumbled on some jewel that the rest of us missed

I provided manga pages with full explanation about zabuza demon sage mode .
I recommend you to read my thread before calling it fan fiction because it's not fan fiction and look at minato for example!
He had senjutsu but he didn't use it against obito!

Because he's same as zabuza and both of them didn't use it earlier because they didn't master it.

Zabuza has demon sage mode but he didn't master it just like minato U_U

He is one of my favourite villains. Although nothing in this thread really proves he had SM. Kakashi said it was a miracle they beat him UNHARMED. And that is just chakra manifesting in the shape of a demon head, not actual SM.

Nothing suggests he has sage mode...it is "demon shroud"....if he had sage mode his wounds would have healed, those kunai's would not even hurt him...your fanfic is good, you should post it in fanfic section

Kishimoto shouldn't tell us everything about manga because some questions we can find the answers based on his manga..

Zabuza has senjutsu for these following reasons:

1) demon aura appeared after he activated it
2) his power is natural power
3) his level increased to beast level once he activated it.
4) everyone in manga called zabuza demon once that aura appeared.
5) they can see it so it's not chakra.

Zabuza didn't master it because it seems he only can use it for short time.

It confirmed that zabuza power increase dramatically once that demon mode activated.

There are 2 options of my theory about zabuza demon aura ..

Either it's demon sage mode or demon mode that post his power similar as gai when he activated his gates.

How is Demon mode Sage mode?

there are 5 characters in naruto that can use senjustsu(sage mode). They are in order of appearances Jiraiya, naruto, kabuto,hashirama, and minato. Now each of these characters display certain changes in appearance. Zabuza however is not a sage and never used sage mode or possessed the ability to control senjustu chakra.

All zabuza did was release chakra that shaped itself into a demon face. This caused people to call it a demonic shroud since technically it doesnt have a name. In the very pictures you provide of zabuza using "demonic shroud", he shows no physical alterations of any sort. This is all the proof you need that zabuza is not using senjustu chakra.

Also, to help you understand that zabuza is not using senjustu chakra you should re-read all chapters were senjustsu chakra is used. It gets mentioned all the time if being used. Senjustu chakra wasn't even mentioned in the match of edo zabuza vs kakashi. This is also proof that a sage mode zabuza does not exist.
