yu yu hakusho vs ruoruni kenshin

i heard both are really good and i wanted to ask which one i should start watching first and reasons why can someone help

I watched both of them as a little kid and I happened to watch rurouni kenshin back then I watched yu yu hakusho which wasn't much of difference when it comes down to the magical aspects of each. They're both great shows so it won't really matter though xd

they are both definitely on my top 5- it depends on what your looking for. Kenshin, tha batoseye, definitely good story lines and bomb action, just with sword, nothing special really except a random bad guy that has a bomb sword move. Yu yu, soo cool. Also a good story line all the way through and theres special abilities. Watch em both at the same time, 1st ep of 1, then the 1st of another and so on.

I liked Yu Yu better. Hes less OP then Kenshin though.

Yu Yu Hakusho for the effin win O:< thats simply the best out of them two but you should watch both O_O

Yu Yu Hakusho really got me hooked unlike Rurouni Kenshin which only got me hooked in the beginning but then eventually I just slowed down my progress in watching it :| Kenshin is one hell of a character but the overall anime just isn't as good as YYH

I watched these a long time ago as a kid. Yu yu hakusho reminded me of dragonball z, so if you like dragonball z, you'll like yu yu hakusho. If you like swords, you'll love Ruoruni Kenshin. The fighting style is also a little bit different in ruoruni kenshin, which i liked a lot. You can't go wrong with either one, but personally, I would prefer ruoruni kenshin over yu yu hakusho.

I like RK more, simply because its mostly about pure skill and swordsmanship, but as Tybone said, its mostly the beginning (first three arcs) that are the best. So overall, watch YYH first. And as Kuvhlubkoj said, you can't go wrong with either.

I want to start off by saying that both are great animes but if I had to choose which one it would be YYH. The reason why is that it has great plot throughout the anime and is really entertaining from beginning to the end... Roruoni Kenshin also has great plot and action but after Shishio's death the anime went downhill from there imo, kinda like what happened when aizen lost to ichigo in Bleach. But it is still entertaining enough to continue watching... you're just probably not gonna find it as good as it was before unlike YYH where the plot and action will keep you glued to your computer screen watching episode after episode continuouslyxd.

but yeah you should definitely watch both but if you wanna start off with the better one I would choose YYH
