Only my opinion: - It al depends on the teen's character,if hes somewhat responsible for what he does, level-headed,serious about important matters,etc, i think yes. but with the NO answer u could say that he could make big mistakes in life cuz he is not responcible and needs the help of his parents,and i agree,some big miostakes can be undone.But even if he is a teen like i said at the begining, he could also make mistakes(altough not big ones ) but u know, we all make mistakes and if u are a person that thinks(makes use of his brains) a little bit u will definetly learn from them!-only my opinion, and good question siLent Rain-btw im a teen too so.... (im only 18xd)

: hey thx,, u helped out alote! i like ur opinion,, i'm also a teen ( but younger than u )!xd it does depend on the person itself, but some teens dnt even care or listen 2 thier parents..that's the problem. and another reason is bad companion i guess they could change a person very badly..i guess all a teen needs is a strong will..and the good advice of parents 2 choose the right dicisions..heheh

Well it depends on this nature if they were given a good environment to grow up in and have responsible parent they will make the right choice but again it really depends on their nature so keep that in mind U_U

Early adulthood happens in teen years here in the USA. So, technically you do. That said, absolutely not. The most intelligent and responsible 2% may be able to pull it off, but even they suffer from a lack of experience. Another thing most teens have trouble grasping is how their idealism reacts with practical reality. Add to that a penchant for being over-emotional (it's not your fault, it's the hormones....see Romeo and Juliet), and you've got a recipe for disaster.

I've been on my own since 17, and trust me, freedom and responsibility are good buddies. And they want to take your lunch money and flush your head in the toilet. Not only have I gone through it, but I've had a younger brother, been in college to see this transition multiple times, and my friends are HS teachers. I know you don't want to hear it, but your teen years are like a learners permit. They afford you the time to screw up and have your parents catch your fall.

People say life is short. That's not true. Make too many mistakes early, and you'll find out exactly how long life can be. Be patient, it's all right around the corner.

You are already free to make your own decisions. You just are almost never ready to deal with the consequences. You decide how your life goes. Not your parents.
Their job is to put you on the right path, you DECIDE whether to stay on it or divy from it.

Teens should given the opportunity to make thier own decisions within certain parameters. They should be able to decide what they want to do with thier time outside of school, who they want to be friends with, how they want to dress, and where they want to go to college and do with the rest of thier life. However, they should be held accountable for thier actions. You want the new car? then get you need to find a way to pay for it. You want to go to that party? Don't let people talk you into a bad situation.

Being able to make desisions will help teenagers develop and become the person they are going to be. If they are not allowed to make descisions and are not held accountable for thier actions then they will never truly grow up.
