Hellow my fellow dudes and dudines.
I'd like to know what you think about the Assassin's Creed franchise. Do you like it or not? What do you like/dislike and which games have you played? Are you satisfied with the direction Ubisoft developed the franchise?
Do you have favorite characters or even ones that you really hate? Please, let me know.
Now I'd like to share my general opinion:
I used to LOVE this series. The first game had a nice setting and a good story, but the gameplay became so boring very early. All of that changed with the second game.
"AC 2" was a massive improvement in every way. The setting was awesome, the story became even better and the gameplay was varied. I loved everything about it. "AC Brotherhood" was also a great game, but to me, the best AC-game of all time was "AC Revelations". Not only ended it Ezio's trilogy, also Altair's story was completed with this game and we saw what happened to the first civilisation with our own eyes. Ezio's trilogy was one of the best things I've ever experienced in my life.
When it ended, the series went downhill in my opinion. "AC 3" was a decent closing for Desmond, but "AC 4/Unity/Rogue/Syndicate" are not Assassin's Creed anymore, if you ask me. They may be good games, but surely not good AC's.
The music for these games is so amazing too. That's something all of them share, Ubisoft did a great job here.
My favorite character:
Ezio Auditore. He is one of my most-favorite characters of all time in any media. Ubisoft created such a wonderful character with all his qualities and flaws. We were by his side his entire life, from birth to his death. A turbulent journey from Revenge to Wisdom. Ezio Auditore is one of the best written characters in gaming history of all time with amazing development.
His trilogy is wonderful and if you haven't already played it, then it is about time to change that. You absolutely should!
