Hellow my fellow dudes and dudines.

I'd like to know what you think about the Assassin's Creed franchise. Do you like it or not? What do you like/dislike and which games have you played? Are you satisfied with the direction Ubisoft developed the franchise?
Do you have favorite characters or even ones that you really hate? Please, let me know.

Now I'd like to share my general opinion:

I used to LOVE this series. The first game had a nice setting and a good story, but the gameplay became so boring very early. All of that changed with the second game.
"AC 2" was a massive improvement in every way. The setting was awesome, the story became even better and the gameplay was varied. I loved everything about it. "AC Brotherhood" was also a great game, but to me, the best AC-game of all time was "AC Revelations". Not only ended it Ezio's trilogy, also Altair's story was completed with this game and we saw what happened to the first civilisation with our own eyes. Ezio's trilogy was one of the best things I've ever experienced in my life.
When it ended, the series went downhill in my opinion. "AC 3" was a decent closing for Desmond, but "AC 4/Unity/Rogue/Syndicate" are not Assassin's Creed anymore, if you ask me. They may be good games, but surely not good AC's.
The music for these games is so amazing too. That's something all of them share, Ubisoft did a great job here.

My favorite character:

Ezio Auditore. He is one of my most-favorite characters of all time in any media. Ubisoft created such a wonderful character with all his qualities and flaws. We were by his side his entire life, from birth to his death. A turbulent journey from Revenge to Wisdom. Ezio Auditore is one of the best written characters in gaming history of all time with amazing development.

His trilogy is wonderful and if you haven't already played it, then it is about time to change that. You absolutely should!

I'm not fond of it, mostly because of the way how they twist the history but also because I hate Ubisoft. The first few games of the series were okay, though.

I believe that not many of those who made PoP still work there :p As of now, the company is a mere shade of its past glorious name IMO. I don't recall a single good game from them for the last 5 years or so, and Uplay is totally killing me whenever I have to deal with it. This is just my opinion, though, obviously :p

Never was a huge fan but the concept always intrigued me.

From my limited experience: First 3 were great, 4 was good, 5 sucked and Syndicate is good but with repetetiveness of the franchise, it got bored.

I am looking forward to seeing what they do with the 2017 AC though. (Love Egypt)

The only one I played was 4 (black flag) but I hated the ship missions (steering ships, Canon battles) pfft, but I know brotherhood was good, my friends played it and recommended the franchise.

I also loved the mobile "Symbian" version, the one with Altair's stiry

Another series that i used to enjoy. It just started to become stale when part 3 came. I heard the latest or one of the latest games is actually good but idk if i wanna play it.

Played all of them up to revelations and loved them. Assassins Creed II was my favourite but I loved the whole of the Ezio series. Apparently the new one arent that good

Yea the first time I played these games is when my homie let me borrow the ezio game. It's funny how you say his name. There dope games, it's just they need to bring back online co-op. Cause otherwise it's pretty boring but good story cause some stuff is actually based on real life. But like I said they need to bring back online co-op with better missions and not lie saying online co-op was gonna be based on campaign missions. That really got me excited for nothing.

Okay, thank you ^-^
I have to admit that I really liked how they included history-events and important people from that time, even while it is, of course, not legit.

Didn't play Prince of Persia, to be honest.

Yep, I agree. Ubisoft isn't nowhere near their glorious past and I doubt that they will come back to their best days. Which is why I think the Assassin's Creed franchise is already "dead".

Hm, part 4 (Black Flag) was a good pirate-game, but a horrible "Assassin's Creed", if you ask me. I hated the main-character so much, he isn't worthy to be called an "important assassin". I also dislike Rogue, Unity and Syndicate.

For the future, there is the small hope that Ubisoft goes to the feudal japan era and include Shao Jun, the disciple of Ezio. But looking at the AC games after the Ezio-trilogy, I doubt that such a game would turn out great either.

Love the franchise, love ubisoft and love AC, POP and Far Cry
Do you also like the newer AC-games? Don't you think that they lost their "spirit", looking at how well-written and revealing the first games were ?

The ezio games were good the rest were meh, I've stopped playing them
Me too. The last game that I played was "Black Flag", but I didn't like and not even finished it. Only watched stuff from the later games on Youtube and I am glad that I didn't waste a single penny because of it.

You should try the Ezio-trilogy then! :p Story-wise, it is awesome.
Haven't played any of the mobile-games or the latest 2,5D "jump&runs".

Syndicate is said to be a bit better than the last few games, but in my opinion, it still isn't good. Don't like the characters, the setting and some gameplay features. But the stealth-system is good.

Liked the first one but after that the games got boring and repetitive for me
That's a surprise o.o
I'd like to know why you think the other games after the first are "repetitive". I mean, AC2 alone is such a massive improvement in anything, compared to the first game.
I made the mistake to play AC2 before AC 1, so the first game was horrible to me, gameplay-wise xD

Played all of them up to revelations and loved them. Assassins Creed II was my favourite but I loved the whole of the Ezio series. Apparently the new one arent that good
I can only agree. Thank you for sharing your opinion! :>

Hm, I see where you are coming from. Personally, I didn't like the Co-op. But to each their own, it definitely brought some fresh air to the franchise, but I don't know.

It's always been an enjoyable franchise, even though it's overdone. The last one I played was Black Flag, what I loved,
I see. Thank you too!

Blackflag was awesome and syndicate's gameplay is good comparing to others. I generally like ubisoft especially far cry 3 and pop TT. Assasins creed chronicles is the only trilogy which i found shitty. Other ones don't relate with history-events much but still they are fun to play.

I only played the 2nd one. It was pretty meh and most say it's the best? Well, looking at the other one's I understand why. Not really a franchise for me.

Which things made it "meh" to you?
I didn't really care much for the story so that's a non factor. It felt glitchy at times, was repetitive (it doesn't have to be all that negative but it was in this game) and I didn't like the combat system. I didn't really feel much like an "assassin" as well. Overall I just liked prince of persia way more.

Boring after Edward kenways story. So IV. Good thing they are taking a break this year. It was much needed nothing about their last 2 games seemed appealing to me. Its just pretty graphics. And i agree, my favorite game was assassins creed II. Ezios trilogy was the best...really felt attached to the character and when i was finishing revelations, almost teared up on his speech to desmond. Part of the reason that the franchise has been shit is because the creator or head writer left. One of those two i believe. With their next game if they are heading to egypt i will love that because i find that culture very interesting and if they decide to go to feudal japan after that, im sure that old fans will flock to their once loved franchise. They should have understood that only COD as bad as it has become is the only franchise that can seemingly stay on top yearly. So again, dont hate the franchise but they can definitely learn from Rockstar with GTA V almost a masterpiece but they always release good quality games.
