I see no reason why it cannot as long as it's a physical attack coming towards the shield it should be repelled. A attack like white rage I don't think the shield can do anything against.

Yes it can block any attack, HOWEVER.... it does not completely cover Susano and we all know Susano itself is not very strong unless we're talking about Perfect Susano which has really strong armor.

I think that was Susanoo itself that block Kirin and Itachi still took damage from Kirin. I don't think Itachi had time to actually use it against that attack as he was taken by surprise. But I don't see why it couldn't block Kirin or any other ninjustu. Against a Tailed Beast Bomb I don't know, maybe?

OT: Yeah Kishi's databook decriptions are somewhat...exagerated. The databook also states Susanoo as being god's power and we know that isn't true as Kabuto easily dismantled it with his sound jutsu.

Nahh. I don't believe it can block as much as it is hyped to. Probably can't block shadow possession jutsu, shinra tensei since the user of it is the epicentre, magnet release based attacks, Gaara's sand Tsunami, and Onoki's weight control. I highly doubt these are repelled, so no it doesn't repel all direct attacks. It should be obvious indirect attacks like CT should be invulnerable to being repelled.

It's a spiritual item.This is what people forget... the item is legendary. It's not insane or unbelievable for it to block any attack because it's a godly item, it's legendary.


I don't see why not. It can block any attack, renders any attack useless, changes any of its physical attributes which includes size (so it can block from behind and below as well)

Until this is contradicted, the Yata mirror will remain impenetrable.

Concerning the yata hype there are some questions that need to be ask

1- How does it actually change its attributes according to an attack? Is it automatic? Cuz i don't think the shield possess eyes or some sort of detector to notify the opponent attack in question and act accordingly? Or does it?

2- If the shield in question doesn't change it's properties on its own(meaning it doesn't have a sort of detector to notify the opponent attack first), does it mean it's the user of the weapon who changes its properties manually?

If it's the case, does it mean that if the user himself fails to analyse an attack in time or doesn't change the properties in time according to the opponent attack, would it fail to protect him against said attack?

If Itachi manages to piece the Juubi with the totsuka blade, from a logical point of a few and non fanboyish then it's pretty much over.
