For many reasons

1 - they have a great personality and they're not Konoha tools ( like itachi who is danzo's pet )

2 - they have a Big Pride and a logical reason why they have their own path
( itachi live his whole life as a tool , Obito is a crybaby who is butthurt because a freaking girl )

3 - they Have the Best Form of Susano and they have their own skills ( Sasuke - Childori - Kirin - etc )

4 - they are the leader type of Guys ( itachi was konoha elders tool )

5 - Cool Haircut

6 - Cool customs

7 - and most improtant they Care alot for the Uchiha clan
( unlike itachi who killed his own parents and clan , Obito care only about rin lol )

finally not to mention without madara help obito will be dead as a Fodder ..
