KATON..fire element
SUITON.. water element
FUUTON..wind element
RAITON.. lightning element
MOUKUTON.. wood element
RANTON.. black lighting element SHAKUTON.. scorch element
JINTON.. diversed element
ENTON.. magnetic elemen

you forgot doton and its one of 5 basic elements... and my favorite is fuuton...

most effective is raiton and fuuton i think
i havent really seen a fire or water jutsu that can actually kill on devastating scale.. exept for amaterasu

Raiton - Lightning
Doton - Earth
Mokuton - Wood
Ranton - Storm
Yoton - Lava
Hyoton - Ice
Shakuton - Scorch
Futton - Acid/Boil
Jiton - Magnetism
Bakuton - Explosion
Jinton - Dust
Inton - Yin
Yoton - Yang
Onmyoton - Yin-Yang
Enton - Blaze (This is only Amaterasu with shape manipulation. Hence, not an element.)

Elements that haven't been shown in the manga yet (if ever)
Meiton - Dark
Koton - Steel
Jinton - Swift
Shoton - Crystal (anime filler)
