Gai and Lee. I actually like the characters that are considered below average by everyone on NV and NB (due to only being able to use Taijutsu) but through sheer willpower and training awakened a superb Taijutsu and are able to nuke about 98% of the NV, included those that are regarded as "Genius" or have them special eyes.

Well i don't like this repetitive parallels thing (it is overbearing in Naruto) but what can you do?

Not most, but many characters are not much relatable. They don't have to be, but from the alive ones he is one of the few who can keep my interest.

Well, "relatable" is a relative term (and it isn't and actual word according to my spell check). To me, Fu is basically everything I'd wish to be: someone who can get rid of his emotions and focus entirely on task at hand, a guy, natural ginger. But otherwise I have no characters I can relate to, since noone there is a complete talentless wuss with no motivation whatsoever and stupid (incurable) health issues :|
