Honestly watching the two of them duke it out during their battle I couldn't help but feel it was all spectacle.
The whole classic "They release their strongest techniques" sure its cool for a while but it doesn't really make sense. Its stupid blowing all their energy and power on one one attack that may or may not connect?? Honestly if Naruto had a brain he wouldn't have bothered creating such an overwhelming counter force to Sasuke's attack. Making a smaller attack to slow Sasuk's own technique he could have preserved power and dodged instead.
Honestly Sasuke making himself out to be smarter is basically dis-proven by his own recent battle style. He's been fighting like Naruto not himself. Charge up a big ass technique to defeat the bad guy? Where have I seen that before >_> the only moment he "outwitted" Naruto was when he used the Petra path on him for the first god damn time lol.
But no it has to be a dramatic meeting of techniques....its sooo old school and honestly as much as I enjoyed the fight (sorta) it was just disappointing in the end.
All we got was one big discharge of power and them punching and kicking the crap out of each other. If I wanted to see that I'd look round the back of our restaurant on a Friday night.
Honestly I guess I was hoping for more...not to mention its super short.
So I guess all I'm doing is moaning at well the lack of substance in their battle....it was soo? Shallow? Is that the right word? Sure it was filled with "emotions" but I mean the depth of the physical conflict was so shallow as to be childish.
