You guys do realize the new novels are canon right? Why are there still non believers of this? Same thing with The Last. It is canon as well.

1.The people who say the novels are non-canon usually refer to the mention of Blood Prison. It's called "Self-Premotion," the author of the novels is the same one who made the story for Blood Prison, so it's just him trying to remind you of a movie most people thought was good. The point of these novels is to expand the story and glorify it, so naturally they will include a few non-canon mentions here and there, but that does NOT make the entire thing non-canon.

2.Kishimoto didnt even write the main manga alone! So how in the world do you justify the fact that another excuse is "No Kishimoto? No canon." When the arcs of Shippuden, especially the war arcs, were helped created entirely by another person: his main editor. If you continue to believe this one, then answer this: If what is here is not true, then why when people say the war arcs are bad, they instantly point the finger of "F*** You" to the editor and not Kishimoto???

3.If your going to release novels worth $10 or more and expect your fan base to read novels costing $50-$100 total and it not be canon!? You people do not understand marketing at all.

Edit: Sorry if this came off as mean. Didn't mean for it to turn out that way.

IKR, Aizen could have been the one who inspired Kishi to make Madara.

Aizen is getting pretty big around here after the recent chapters of Bleach. No matter where you look there he is. XD
I can agree to this to an extent honestly. Madara has some unique differences from Aizen however.

I can believe it seeing as how Kishi left so many things unexplained.

@number 3: Explain filler then

You don't pay for a single show. You pay for an entire network. It's not like you have to watch the filler, and it's not like Kishimoto gains a lot of money for the show either, SP gains most of the funds.

If you are looking for the definition of filler here it is:
Filler exists in every television show ever made, it is used as a way to clean the watchers mind and give them a break from the main story. Filler is also used as a means to explore character growth and analyze their character, these are usually the only reasons made to watch filler. Filler is decided upon between the author or show creator as a consultant and the main editors or producers of a show, once a story is compromised on, work will begin on the production of episodes designed to slow the pace down so the watcher can breathe without necessarily taking away every bit of canon.

Filler is actually made to keep the anime from catching up to the manga and produce more money.

That is not always true. Some shows don't even have a manga to catch up to. Some shows are there own domain. Although money is a factor is anything you create.

true, Aizen's goal is.. what is Aizen's goal? though people may like him for his plot twists, he is quite poor in different areas, unlike Madara who has goals which he accomplished! and He isn't completely prideful.

but I agree, it's unfair to say no kishi means no canon when Kishimoto had other peeps who worked with him in making the manga and the characters.

I hold the Naruto novels about as canon as I do the comics of Avatar The Last Airbender that are set after Sozin's Comet Part 4; which is none.

Because they are entirely irrelevant and the manga is done; they will not affect the story in any way, shape, or form.

No, the novels are not canon. They are meant to be an extension of the events of the manga, but do not completely coincide with it. The main story line of the manga is over and done with; people can choose to view the events in the novels however they wish.

Whether the're canon or not, here is a better question: why would one even care on the issue? The manga is already over, obviously those who possess rights on it will milk Narutoverse as much as possible. Canon or not, the're pretty much irrelevant spin-offs, nothing significant.

The Last is clearly canon because Ootsutsuki are in the manga. Naruto's solo punch is as real as Sasuke's chidori

I agree with this, they hold the same amount of relevancy to the manga as The Last, call them however you want. Lol

Sorry, never heard mention of a "Tenseigan", or some bi-shounen pleb, "Toneri".
