Also by saying descended from the Sage you're implying that Hashirama can use Izanagi

And I don't really think Senju DNA improves it, and even if it did isn't the point of Izanagi is used to take the favourable outcome of a situation? What I mean by this is in a life threatening situation when you're about to die to use Izanagi to not die
Pretty much what I'm trying to say is that you can use it at the last minute so making its duration last longer doesn't really matter

I'm kinda confused, what do you mean for how long he had to keep it active? Can you explain whatcha mean with an example or something? In the Konan fight he uses it at the last minute to take the favourable outcome of not dying in the paper bomb chasm, much like Danzo uses it at the last minute to not be killed by being impaled by Sasuke's Susanoo sword

I can't think of any instance where its used for an extended period of time
But yeah, you make a fair point about Itachi. Still though, Itachi was an absolute genius, like Hokage level thinking at age 6/7 and the 3rd said he learned all the Uchiha's forbidden techniques/seals and stuff when no-one else bothered to

Would you say the Naruto wiki is 100% true though? Regardless though its explanation of Izanagi is consistant for all users and events that occurred in the manga so I can accept it

Edit: You also can't use Izanagi without losing sight in the eye with which you cast it
We already know, and it is 100% that Madara gave Nagato HIS eyes, not a set of spares, not just one, but BOTH of his eyes
Sick of people saying Madara used Izangi to survive because we know he only gets Senju cells post fight not before or during. Even if he got them during I doubt he'd be able to utilize them right away, the whole thing is preposterous

However, I will admit its a possibility he cast a genjutsu on Hashirama. But did anyone actually notice the way he stabbed Madara? For 1 thing it wasn't through the heart or anything so it wouldn't be a definite kill, and also the way he stabbed him from behind was a nice parallel about how Madara hated anyone being behind him like when he's peeing and Hashi stands behind him

Also in that link there's a mistake and it says Senji instead of Senju which I thought was funny

~Naruto&Itachi~ showed me that you actually don't need Senju cells to do Izanagi, they just make it last longer.
Having said this, I still believe 100% that Madara didn't use Izanagi because he gave both his eyes to Nagato

It is not fact, that you cant use izanagi without senju cells.
In the past, lot of uchiha used izanagi and i am sure they didnt all have senju cells.
It was used so much, that they needed to develop izanami.

We dont know if EMS brings different rules for izanagi, compared to tomoe and MS. Maybe it puts your eyes on cooldown for a while, before you can use it again.
This would allow you to use it, without losing your eyesight, but it wouldnt become overpowered, due to the cooldown time.

Senju, not Hashirama cells.

im pretty sure danzo used hashi cells on his body not senju cells and doesn't obito have hashi cells?...yes he does so no it's not senju cells buddy it's hashi cells. also like i said it's a uchiha forbidden tech not a uchiha senju tech only uchiha could use it and if you're not you got to do it ala danzou.....collect hashi cells and sharingan.
