Nah I'm not saying Boruto can't use Kai Release nor am I doubting he broke her free. But he seemed just as confused as Sarada.

He said don't fall for her tricks, but honestly I doubt that he could break it out by himself if he was caught.

Besides I was actually just arguing against SenseiSama's Hyuuga Fap logic. Like there was nothing about the Hyuugas in this episode but he somehow managed to come up with some bs to make them relevant :|

Is it really that hard to break out of normal genjutsu? Isn’t the outside person just disrupting the person under genjutsus chakra with their own? I don’t think it takes some kinda specialist in chakra control, especially considering Shika undid one with ease
