Kakashi said Minato couldn't complete the Rasengan because it was too difficult, not because he had no element.

Furthermore, the last panel on page 10 proves Minato did have an element

noone could perfect the elemental rasenga, except naruto and that just because he has a shi* load of chakra

nami (waves) kaze (wind) minato had wind and water. i made a thread a while ago explaing this and other points. also minato did have elemental affinities, kakashi said minato attempted to put his element in the rasengan but he couldn't as it was to difficult, it says rigth there in the manga as someone alreadt cited, i don't know why some of you think he didn't have any elements, just because we didn't see them yet, doesn't mean they don't exsist, i mean, c'mon, minato is dead, its not like we had a minato gaiden explaining everything about him, we rarely get to see him in action, we'll just have to wait and see.
