Stabs are just slashes that go straight into a person piercing them. Stabs might be quick as you say but they give openings to the user's upper body. Lunges are actually jumps towards the enemy, not sure whether they are surprise attacks but, i think that it gives the user speed and shocks the enemy as the user suddenly jumps towards him, hence giving the user a good shot at the enemy. I think lunges can be seen most in the sword fighting, with the rapiers, not sure what the sport is called again >_<...
Fencing, and you're about half-right.

You're not so much jumping as you are leaning forward into a step. And stabs, if done correctly, won't leave you open, because it's a quick thrust in, and a quick pull back.

Here's someone who I think describes a lunge very well, albeit in a sport way, and not in the way I teach (note, however, that the way I teach works only in the RP, and would NOT be used in real life).

Anyway, if you understand everything, please demonstrate one.

Alright sempai, I hold my sword in my right hand and along with it, I put my right foot in front of my left foot about 20cm away from each other. I bend my ankle on my right foot by a bit, while placing my sword frontwards (like how the video does). Also, i place my left leg straight and my left hand at my back. With this stance, i then begin to bring my right foot up and then push my right hand front, somewhat like a stabbing motion. Ending it by stomping my right foot downwards now extended to the front, bended. As this was happen, I also extend my left arm backwards along with my left leg being pushed back as well to support my body structure.

You preformed that lunge extremely well.

However, what you did was a one-handed variant- and while you will be more likely to use the one handed variant, I want you to demonstrate a two-handed variant, simply because it falls in step with the "more power" theme of two-handed strikes.

A two-handed lunge is a lunge done with both hands on the blade, thus requiring a slightly different form with your upper body.

Mainly for practice's sake. Give it another go, please.

Okay, i prepare the same stance again. Putting my right leg bended abit to the front with my left leg t the back, straight. As I stood up straight, placing my right hand to the front, bended back while holding my sword, my left hand grips upon the handle of my sword with my right hand. Lastly, I then push both my hands to the front while bending my right leg further to the front, stomping the ground as it comes down, my left leg is pushed back to support my current body structure.

How was that sempai? ^-^

Excellent. ^_^

Anyway, next is side-stepping. Ready to go on?

Yup

*starts getting pumped up O_O*
Alright, so side-stepping is as it sounds: it involves stepping to your side to dodge an attack: and it works well to dodge pretty much any attack that's not a horizontal slash.

You can preform a sidestep by either pushing off with your opposite leg (If I want to rush right, I push off with my left leg), or by actually quickly stepping in that direction.

It's pretty simple, but immensely useful.

Try describing a movement as if a vertical slash was coming down at you

As I see your vertical slash coming down on me, I quickly steady my right foot on the ground firmly as tight as I can and push down onto the ground hence allowing me to get pushed to the left, easily dodging your slash from above.

That was excellent. And, if you're good to go, then we'll move on to arc-stepping, next.

Alright.

Arc-stepping involves adding an arc - or curve - to your sidestep. So, instead of moving in a straight line, you'll move on a curve, allowing you to better set yourself up a counter attack.

Try imagining your opponent at the center of a circle - you're on the circle itself. In any one arc step (depending on your distance from your opponent, of course) you can move a maximum of 1/4 the way around the circle.

Understand?

Yup ^-^ It's like trying to catch your foe from a different location which he has left open right?

Basic horizontal (one and two-handed), basic stab (one-handed) and lunge (two-handed)
Yes.

Remember, when dodging horizontal strikes, you can generally only jump over them if they are low, while stabs, lunges, and vertical strikes can all be dodged by jumping to the side.

Now, what about ducking - what can you dodge with that?

A horizontal slash, basic stab, conditionally if they are high enough

I am not sure about lunging though, if I duck, theres a chance the guy might fall on me D:...

Eh...that's about right. o_o Ducking isn't always useful, but it's there and it's good to know your options.

Next are lesser forms of dodging, that I basically cover under the umbrella term "gymnastics". These include dodge rolls, back-flips, and like; things that might not really work in real life, but that, being in an RP, we are able to do due to our somewhat "super-human" physics.

Each gymnastic move is different, and can be used to dodge different attacks. However, this category is so...diverse, that really it just needs to be explored through your own experimentation, and you should find what works for you, and what fits into your style.

Now, if you're ready to go on, then we'll move on to parries.
