Alright so this will be my first time teaching anyone Yin Release, so please bare in mind that I will try to the best of my ability to make sure I convey all that I have been taught as well as what I've learned about the field over the years. Now then, let's start with the traditional "what is Yin Release" but of course, in context to the RP and within the Narutoverse. I'm not too versed on the traditional philosophical side of it but if you'd like to touch on this then by all means. Just give me all that you can think of my friend, as imagination is the key to your success with Yin Release.

Yin-Yang is a Taoist philosophy, and to put it simply, Yin and Yang are two sides of the same coin, two halves of a greater whole keeping one another in a delicate balance. They are composed of polarized concepts, like Light and Dark, Male and Female, Hot and Cold, and so on, but despite being polar opposites, they are not in conflict with one another, for one cannot exist without the other. If there was no such thing as "hot", there would be no cold, as there would be nothing you could point to that would be different from what "cold" is, thus making cold all there was, and by extension nothing essentially. The existence of one is dependent on the existence of the other, and vice versa. And when you combine the two to create Yin-Yang, you achieve everything that is, or can be. A very simplified version of a complex concept, but that's my general understanding of it.

While I like to think have a decent grasp of Yin-Yang as a philosophy, and Yang Release as an ability within our RP, honestly I have trouble wrapping my head around even the most basic Yin, or Yin-related fields like Genjutsu when it comes to the RP. I understand that it's a field that governs spirituality and imagination, and can achieve many effects, including adding an Element to a Genjutsu, making it stronger and conditionally harder to break, and whatever Hungry Ghost is able to do, but I can't for the life of me think of how I could build on that to my advantage, or make Customs using the principles established within the series, and canon techniques. In the series, Yin Release is primarily seen in the form of Genjutsu, but it has been mentioned to have a link to many Clan's abilities, like the Nara who use it to give physical form to their shadows, form where there is none. One good example of the link between Yin and Yang as it related specifically to Yin is the idea that within one you can always find a small amount of the other. The example I'm aware of is Tayuya's Demon Flute Ghosts. Though they are primarily spiritual entities, they have some semblance of sentience, a concept primarily found within Yang Release, as they seek out and feast on Chakra and more specifically physical energy in an attempt to reach a balance between the two energies within themselves. The opposite example for Yang that I can remember off the top of my head is when Naruto used Yang Release to heal Kakashi's eye, restoring an entirely missing organ from nothing, giving form to that which did not exist, which is primarily governed by Yin. This can be best summed up when looking at the symbol for Yin-Yang, as you can see a small amount of black within the white and vice versa.

That's a general summary of my knowledge when it concerns Yin Yang, with emphasis on Yin. I know, you have your work cut out for you. My apologies.

Haha, that’s a pretty spot on explaination of it and you pretty covered a bit of things I intended to mention when it was my turn to post. However I’ll still place my own little feedback of it, if you don’t mind. So, Yin Release – by my own thought is a powerful concept within the RP and Narutoverse. It’s ability that governs the spiritual half of chakra, which is usually a balanced raito. However, when utilizing Yin Release, the balanced ratio is immediately tipped on the axis, favoring the Yin Half, but like you mentioned Yang can never truly be absent from the ratio. As I was taught long ago this phrase “There’s a little bit of Yin in Yang and a little bit of Yang in Yin”. Sounds crazy but believe me, it will work wonders when it comes to crafting some customs in the near future. Now to narrow things a bit down, you having mentioned that abilities like Tayuya’s Doki and Naruto being jesus kun as examples. That’s great, but how about we elaborate a bit more on that concept.

I’ll give you an example of my own, the Nara Clan’s Hiden. That in itself is an application of Yin Release. The “Yin” within that application is utilizing one’s chakra to give “physical form” to the shadow in order to be manipulated, but can you tell me where the “Yang” might be in this application? I want you to get a hang this a bit more so you have an idea of just where you might be able to take this with your own Yin Customs later on but also, we’ll be doing this to all the Yin Release techniques I’ll be teaching you, if of course it can feasibly be explained. Yin Release is, imo, the more complex of the two halves, given the nature of how much you can do with it, but always remember Yin and Yang will always never be “perfect” within the true form being used, aka Yin – Yang Release.

Last but not least, tell me something, do you truly believe Yin can do “anything”? If not or if so, explain to me why.

If I were to hazard a guess, the "Yang" aspect of Nara techniques would be the sense you are changing the shape of your shadows, thereby altering an aspect of your body, like Ring of Hell is able to do. This makes more sense when you take into account the fact that through Yin, your shadows become a physical extension of your body. I don't ever recall the Nara's shadows ever acting on their own accord, it's always an actively fueled, and directed effort on Shikamaru's part, so they don't gain Yang's sentience, so that really only leaves that earlier assumption on my part, though it is a rather unique case.

As for your other question, that's an easy one, no, Yin cannot do absolutely anything. Yin is a field that utilizes creativity and imagination, but that doesn't translate into allowing it to do anything. By the virtue of everything we just covered, Yin Release can't do what Yang does in it's totality. There can be aspects of each found in the other, but Yang can never be used to make a Genjutsu, just like Yin can never be used to create familiars with "random rolls" like those found within Onibi.

Well, in my that’s a good answer. In my interpretation; the Yang portion can also be seen potentially in the “mental link” they have with their shadows. Naras have an aware of the location of their shadows and can tell when something is interacting with it directly. Now that doesn’t mean they immediate know what’s go on with the shadow, but the shadow’s “touch” is a sort of mental connection with them, which is an aspect we’ve seen in Yang Release being capable of doing though some might attribute it still being the Yin Portion. Either way, it can be anything really and is really up to your own personal guess. However, that’s pretty it. Also good answer on the section question. Yin Release also still confines to the reality/limitations of the Naurtoverse. I know that’s rich when you think about how Naruto basically jesused Kakashi a whole new eye but at least that has SOME kind of explanation as opposed to like…trying to remove gravity from an area with Yin Release. Anyways, that’s pretty much it for our introduction, we’ll move onto the first technique of Yin Release.

(Inton: Ten ni Henkō) – Yin Release: Change into Heaven
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (+50 chakra cost to applied technique)
Description: The user manipulates a technique of the basic 5 elements with Yin natured energy, allowing the user to change its physical properties. Fire can become solid, lightning can become tangible, water can become invisible. Possibilities are limited to changes in physical properties; more specifically, this means that one cannot transform a flame into a spiritual flame, or make a rock intangible. The user must be able to clearly define what the new technique is within realistic limitations. If, for example, the user makes Swamp of the Underworld into something solid then it might neutralize the entire point of the technique. The resulting technique must be described logically; if this condition is not met then the technique might outright fail. The end result is a technique neutral to all basic elemental natures. This technique is applied within the same timeframe as the technique it is applied to. The infused chakra increases the technique by an additional ten, but costs fifty in total.
Note: Yin Release specialists can apply this technique to advanced fields, CE, and advanced elements.
Note: Using Change into Heaven to transform the inherent nature of an element does not modify its base speed.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and 6 times per arc.

One of the more infamous techniques among the set. This has been used and misused all too much over the years, by me too of course, but that’s largely due to the old description basically allowing “anything” to be done with it. Now then, talk to me about this technique as much as you can. Dos and don’ts, how would you use this in a fight etc. Overwhelming, I know but trust me…its not that hard haha. Once you do, I’ll start to fill you in with my own opinions/thoughts about it.

Guess I'll start with the mechanics to save myself any confusion, on unintended biases for how the technique should be used. Change into Heaven allows the user to, at a cost of 50 Chakra, change the physical properties of another technique, while also removing it's strengths and weaknesses to the Base 5 Elements. 10 of that Chakra cost is added to the target technique itself, while the remaining 40 is the cost of the actual use of Change into Heaven. That is ultimately all the technique does, and since it's clearly been updated many times, with the most recent iteration defining what is and isn't possible, the actual potential of this technique isn't as high as some have assumed in recent years.

It states you cannot make regular flames "spiritual", meaning you can't use this technique to alter the actual damage type of the target technique, which makes sense. You could however make a cloud of mist a solid, travelling wall by giving it "Earth" properties like rock, or make a condensed Lighnting technique flow like water. It wouldn't be a free-flowing current like Nagashi, but it could be used to physically pool around a target, not that I know how useful that would be in actual combat, that's simply my understanding of how this technique operates. You only change the physical properties, but the rest would be unaffected, but as stated, if you make a change that ends with a counter-intuitive result, like making Swamp solid, effectively ruining why you would use it. Aside from the natural benefits, like the Chakra infusion and the neutrality, I don't know how I would actually use this one in combat. It's got so much utility and so much potential, I just don't know exactly how to use it. Too much of a good thing and all that.

Pretty clear cut, but there are some limitations that I’ve been mentored in for the technique from couple years ago. These are more so unwritten for the most part but if you’re trained under Drackos or Reborn at the time, they’d tell you these. The first is perception, the complete removal of something from within the basic five senses. Change Into Heaven can obviously do things such as make it invisible, silence etc but what it can’t do is make the applied technique completely rendered undetectable. That makes the technique sort of “nonexistent” so to speak if you do this and thus would be counterproductive of you. If the technique is naturally silent and you wanted to make to invisible? Sure, but don’t go trying not to remove it’s taste (Ganmi Folks 😊 ) , its touch (like feeling it’s heat) etc. It would just be a wasted use of it, so don’t go over the top if you don’t want your technique to just go complete poof. Another rule for it is that scaling. You cannot increase nor decrease the volume of the technique whatsoever. Meaning if you used Mountain Smash, you can’t use Change into Heaven in order to compress it into a smaller scaled technique. You can however turn it into a giant mud wave, which the mud’s entire volume will rival that of Mountain Smash. Fairly straight forward

All of that makes sense, and I was never intending on using Yin to make anything I did lowkey boolteg nerf brand Hayabusa, but I'll keep all of that in mind, thanks. In hindsight, affecting the volume of a given technique, at least when Yin-Yang is concerned, and as far as I'm aware seems to be limited to Change into Hell, which halves the user's technique while granting it sentience, which is presented as a negative, a drawback from converting a technique into one with sentience rather than something you can actively control, but I'm going off topic.

Haha alright, that just about covers it, guess we’ll be moving onto the next technique.

(Inton: Gogyou Gen) – Yin Release: Five Elements Illusion
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (+50 chakra cost to applied technique)
Description: This technique allows the user to combine their elemental chakra with Yin Release in order to create stronger, more potent Genjutsu. When the user casts a Genjutsu, rather than using their raw chakra they will use one of the basic elemental natures, thus increasing the potency of the jutsu. This technique increases the technique it is applied to by one rank in strength; due to the massive infusion of chakra a Genjutsu empowered by the Five Elements Illusion can penetrate through any passive defense or subversive method against Genjutsu. By using nature chakra rather than raw chakra, the properties of the Genjutsu can change in accordance to that nature and become stronger. For example, using Crushing Snake Constriction with Fire Release chakra would make the snakes appear, feel, and sound as though they were on fire. The user is free to alter the effects of a Genjutsu within reason as long as the primary effects remain the same. Like other Yin-Yang infusions, this technique only increases the chakra within the technique by an additional rank in strength, or 10, whichever is higher.
Note: Can only be used 6 times per battle.
Note: Cannot be used on techniques above S-Rank.
Note: Yin Release specialists can use advanced elements and CE.

As like beforehand, talk to me about it and we’ll go into a little conversation concerning it. Where might the Yang be within this? Anything that immediately sets red flags off for you? etc

Okay so like Change into Heaven Five Elements Illusion costs 50 Chakra, which increases the active Chakra within the targeted technique by 10 and a Rank when applicable, and the remaining 40 covers the cost of the infusion itself. This infusion not only allows the user to add Elemental effects to their illusions, but also allows the illusion itself to bypass any subversive methods one might have for rebuking Genjutsu, like the Biography specialties, or certain Clan passives. Not only does this give the user a lot of creative freedom with how their Genjutsu are perceived by the target, it also adds an Element to the Genjutsu, requiring additional, though not always harder, step in regards to release via Kai or Chakra surge. For example, using a Fire Release Genjutsu on a target would require that the Full Body Surge be either 1 rank stronger due to Elements being stronger than raw Chakra, or the Surge itself to be Elemental. Continuing on with the Fire example, it would be easier if the user had access to a Water Element surge, as it would allow the user to break out of the Genjutsu at one rank lower than the Genjutsu itself, due to Water's inherent strength over Fire. The same is true for the reverse however, and you would require one rank higher if you were using a Wind Release surge to break free. As far as where I can find the Yang in this technique, it's very minimal, and the only realm connection I can see is the fact that it can give an illusion Fire Release properties, a quality that is primarily attributed to Yang, especially in the White Tiger technique. Aside from that, everything there seems to be rather concise, probably to prevent confusion or misuse.

Not gonna lie, I wouldn’t know either but I wanted to see where you might draw the Yang aspect from and its safe to say I drew a similar conclusion. However its not really a matter as much, you have touched on a few things I wanted to bring up. It mostly pertaining in the breaking method of this technique but you’re correct in how you break these illusions in regards to surges and kai. Of course, it can still be broken without any rank requirement when activating like SM or foreign chakra introductions etc. It’s honestly one of my most favorite Yin Techniques but alas, I rarely use it as much as Id want to. Anyways, let’s scurry along to the next technique below:

(Inton: Gaki no Jutsu) - Yin Release: Hungry Ghost Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A (+50)
Damage: N/A
Description: Hungry Ghost is a spiritual parasite created through the user’s Yin Release chakra. When using an elemental jutsu, the user will form the ram hand seal to seal the hungry ghost within their technique. Sealing the hungry ghost inside one’s technique happens within the same timeframe as their elemental technique. When the user’s technique clashes with another technique, the parasitic Yin Chakra will eat away at the chakra within the technique, weakening it by one rank. Once the hungry ghost consumes foreign chakra it is released and immediately attaches itself to the source of the foreign chakra (the opponent). From there, the parasite continues to eat away at the enemy’s chakra every time they use techniques (all techniques reduce in rank and power by 1 degree). Once the Hungry Ghost is released, its tether is immediate and cannot be blocked or circumvented by ordinary means. The effects of Hungry Ghost last for 4 turns.
Note: Can only be used 5 times per battle and cannot be used on the same target more than twice.
Note: Surges or Barriers that utilize Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang or Natural Energy can break or prevent the tethering of the Hungry Ghost.
Note: Yin Release master can apply this technique to advanced elements and CE
Note: Hungry Ghost can only be used on S-rank techniques and below.

Ah yes the infamous culprit of “Like Hungry Ghost”. Let’s talk a bit about this one, what can you really dissect from this one technique?

Another instance of a high Chakra technique being infused into existing Jutsu, adding the +10. This time it adds a parasitic entity into your own technique, with it's sentience speaking for the Yang to be found in this one. On contact with a foreign Chakra signature it creates a type of "tether" to the opposing target, weakening the technique your own clashed with, while following the opponent's Chakra back to it's source, and providing the same detrimental effect on their techniques for the next 4 turns, reducing their rank by 1. It can't be blocked or circumvented with regular techniques, but Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang or Natural Energy can prevent the tether from linking, or break it once it has been established. The part about only being usable on the same target twice make sense considering it can affect them for 4 turns each, meaning they're constantly fighting a debuff on every technique for 8 turns. Everything else is your standard affair, with the overall usage limit, and not being usable on Forbidden Rank Jutsu. Only thing I can think to note is that it would be really easy to **** up when you use this technique. This would count as a debuff as far as I'm aware, and would trigger the boosting limit rules, so if you use this, and then say boost your own Jutsu twice, there'd be a total of three buffs or debuffs on your side of any interaction or equation. Nothing else to say really, beyond the fact it's a solid effect, and I can see why everyone and their kitchen sink has ripped it off incorporated it's ability into their own original creations.

Good points yea concerning the debuff thing, well tbh I don't think it would count until it actually applies to the person. The only thing i;ll add int too is that if the person you use it on is in SM, be aware that that the spirit wouldn't apply. Also note if also wont apply to techniques that dont have chakra in them as it will latch onto the person's chaka. If there's no chakra to latch onto int he technique then it wont happen. If there's nothing to say, here's the next technique:

(Inton: Dai Mugen Ryu) - Yin Release: Great Phantom Dragons
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 150
Damage: 100 | 120 (for multi-element)
Description: A more powerful version of “Yin Release Hungry Ghost Technique.” Rather than the user arbitrarily adding their Yin Release chakra to a specific technique, the user will create a number of large, elemental dragons using any of the basic elements plus their Yin Release chakra. The user can create up to 5 serpentine dragons which, once created, can act independently according to the user’s will. Due to the user being able to manipulate multiple elements at once, each dragon created can be of a different nature. Each dragon will also have the absorption properties of “Hungry Ghost,” thus becoming even more dangerous. However, due to the massive amount of chakra and control needed to use these dragons, the user can only control two dragons at any given time. While the dragons are present, the user cannot use any Yang Release or elemental techniques of the natures that currently exist within the dragons. Yin Release masters can combine two natures together in order to make a multi-elemental dragon or even a dragon consisting of an advanced element or CE that they know. However, in doing so they will only be able to create two dragons.
Note: Can only be used 2 times per battle.

Talk to me about this one!!

Firstly that is a lot of Chakra. Almost nothing is absorbing this under normal circumstances. Three times as much as Hungry Ghost itself, but considering the fact you can create up to five elemental Dragons, that's pretty good since I assume the Chakra and the damage is split between the Dragons, so perhaps having less is more in that regard. Naturally like Hungry Ghost the Yang related aspect of the technique would be the sentience with which the Dragon is able to act according to the user's will. The limiting of the user's Chakra natures makes sense as well, Yin would interfere with Yang, while you are essentially "lending" any of the basic Elements to the Dragons to use in your place. I assume this is still the case with the Yin Master version where you can create more advanced Elemental Dragons, and limits your ability to use the Elements and fields associated with the AE or CE. All of this alone is really nice, and then the absorption ability of Hungry Ghost to debuff opposing techniques with Chakra by 1 Rank on top makes this a very powerful technique. Good stuff, and no questions.

(Inton Modo) – Yin State
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: 200 (-40 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Based on Hagoromo’s Six Paths Sage Mode, those who have specialized in Yin Release can enter this mode to elevate their prowess, reaching the pinnacle of spiritual capabilities. Because the user lacks the Juubi’s monstrous chakra and natural energy it makes it impossible to properly balance both Yin and Yang natures simultaneously at such a high level. When entering this mode, users first gather their five basic chakra natures and their Yin nature. They then manipulate the ratio of their Yin to Yang chakra such that one nature almost completely overshadows the other, done almost instantly. The result causes the user to enter Yin State. Yin State is the state entered by users when they emphasize their Yin chakra over their Yang. In this state the user is endowed with a pitch-black chakra cloak with white magatama down the center, along the collar and sleeves. The cloak can be shaped cosmetically. The cloak reaches down to the user’s ankles and covers a jet-black jumpsuit is underneath. The user’s nails, lips, hair, and sclera also become jet black. When Yin State is entered the user gains the technique Kuninotokotachi. Kuninotokotachi is a Genjutsu technique that grants the user spiritual prowess on par with the Uchiha’s Mangekyou Sharingan. When casting Genjutsu the user’s techniques become strong enough to hypnotize and almost completely control their opponent’s actions like Kotoamatsukami. While in Yin State the user gains a potent spiritual defense, making them immune to any A-Rank and below Genjutsu, barring Doujutsu Illusions. The user also gains a complete S-Rank defense against other spiritual and mental based abilities. Those abilities that inflict physical damage will still inflict physical damage, but have their spiritual portion negated. The drawback to this state is that the disproportional amount of energy makes users incapable of using Yang Release techniques and other physically elevating techniques. Advanced forms of taijutsu movement (anything that requires chakra or is B-rank and above) also become unusable.
Note: This technique only lasts 6 turns and can be used once per battle.
Note: One must have completed Yin Release in order to use this technique. The user can only use either Yin or Yang state on any bio, unless they are a Yin-Yang Release Master.
Note: Once the technique ends the user’s spiritual or physical chakra is drained to the barest minimum for their survival, thus making them incapable of using Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release techniques for 10 turns and incapable of using Genjutsu or spiritual abilities for 5 turns.
Note: Once this technique ends the user is unable to use techniques above A-Rank for 4 turns.

( Kuninotokotachi ) - Kuninotokotachi
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique is the strongest non-kekkei genkai genjutsu in existence. Kuninotokotachi gives the user’s genjutsu powerful hypnotic and influential abilities and puts them on par with the ocular powers of the Mangekyou Sharingan. The user hides manipulative thoughts and suggestions within their genjutsu such that, when cast on an opponent, they are indistinguishable from their own thoughts. The effects of this technique are strongest the closer one is to the user, allowing the user to influence the actions of others even subliminally. Long enough exposure to the user’s genjutsu while under the affects of Kuninotokotachi will eventually render victims completely unconscious, unable to respond at all. At such a point, the only ways to release the hold of Kuninotokotachi would be for the user to release it themselves, for the user to die or an outside source to transfer at least 150 chakra from Yin techniques or 75 chakra from Yang techniques to balance. Because of the strength of Kuninotokotachi, abilities designed to prevent genjutsu such as mental resistances, barriers, and other seals of the like are ineffective. With this technique the only way to avoid genjutsu would be to prevent them from happening or stay out of range. On the defensive side, Kuninotokotachi allows for the user to reverse genjutsu like Sharingan Genjutsu and even release the affects of techniques like Tsukuyomi.
Note: The hypnosis of this technique allows for the user to mask holes within a genjutsu that would ordinarily cause speculation. For example, if using false surroundings for a sudden drastic environment change, the user could implant a suggestion that would force the opponent not to question how suddenly the environment changed or to ignore certain aspects such as “the water isn’t wet.” However, these suggestions must be spelled out within the user’s move and must pertain to the affects of the genjutsu. A user cannot force opponents to forget how to defend against x-element or make them use y-technique if the genjutsu’s foundation does not establish such foundations.
Note: The effects of this technique are strongest the closer one is to the target. Within short-range users can capture others within their hypnotic spell and completely take over their body within 2 turns. At mid-range the hypnotic spell takes 3 turns, and long range is ineffective. Those with genjutsu specialty can resist for an additional turn while other Yin Release masters can resist for another 2 additional turns are unaffected at mid-range and beyond.
Note: The user can reverse genjutsu with this technique once per turn (one turn cool down for S-rank and above). Should the user fall under the spell of Mangekyou tier genjutsu the user can release the affects at the cost of a move but become incapable of using genjutsu for two turns after the fact.
Note: This technique remains active for as long as the user is within the Yin State of Yin-Yang Mode.

Good, now we move onto the meat and potatoes of Yin Release, Yin Mode or State alongside it's signature Technique. Let's talk a bit more intensely about this, first impressions? What can you tell me about these little devil.

Well first off that Chakra cost, both on activation, and then for maintenance on Yin State is insane, but all Y/Y techniques have some higher than normal cost for what they do, but this one really does take the cake. Anyway, by prioritizing your spiritual side over the physical, having your Yin Chakra completely eclipse your Yang, you enter Yin state. Cosmetically it's all black, and very little white. Entering it grants you access to Kuninotokotachi, which I'll elaborate on later, but the gist is it's a Genjutsu that equals Genjutsu like those of the Mangekyou, one notable example given being Shisui's Kotoamatsuikami. Entering this Mode grants the user absolute defense against mental and spiritual attacks and abilities up to S-Rank, and Genjutsu up to A-Rank, with the exception of Doujutsu Genjutsu, like the Sharingan. Naturally since the user's Yang Release Chakra has been entirely overshadowed by the Yin Chakra of the Mode, you can't perform any of their techniques, it also makes it harder, if not impossible to perform. The distinction to be made here is that it's almost everything to do with Chakra that's unusable, as things like EIG is what I assume is meant by "physically elevating techniques". Because the imbalance between the physical and spiritual is what causes the "block", Chakraless stuff would be exempt, no? The next line about Taijutsu movement techniques requiring B-Rank and higher Chakra further imply this, as again Chakra is the common link between the imbalance and this unusability. Aside from this, the only things to note would be the drawbacks, like the inability to use Y/Y and it's components for 10 turns, as well as Genjutsu and similar fields for 5, on top of a general restriction on S-Ranks and higher for 4 turns after it ends. It sounds like a lot to take in, but the gist is no S-Ranks for 4, spirutal/ mental for 5, and Y/Y for 10. Easy. Honestly I don't know what I was expecting, but this is cool, I guess. Personally don't like the shutting down of my Taijutsu and stuff, but depending on Kuninotokotachi it might be worth it.

So from what I can gather, Kuninotokotachi allows the user to essentially hide suggestions and thoughts within their Genjutsu, which are initially indistinguishable from their own thoughts, but can increase in potency all the way up to causing them to black out. The only way to fight this conventionally speaking is to have someone else perform an infusion to restore balance to the target, but K.Oing the one who performed it, or having them release it would also work, but generally you're probably not going to have those happen in a fight. As it states, staying out of range, or preventing them from taking effect are your best chances at avoiding this effect. The added bonuses of bypassing mental resistances, as well as allowing the user to reverse Genjutsu even on the level of Tsukuyomi are really powerful too. The first note about an example of suggestion allowing for the user to "plug holes" in erroneous logic of their Genjutsu is a really powerful tool, even I can tell, and I don't have an extensive Genjutsu arsenal. Next the explanation regarding how long it takes to actually capture someone under the main effect is concise, with distance and proficiency in Genjutsu affecting that time, which makes sense. Finally the clarification on the reversal of Genjutsu also makes sense, with it being something they can do passively once per turn, with a turn cooldown if the Genjutsu is S-Rank or Higher, and for Mangekyou level Genjutsu affecting the user's ability to perform Genjutsu, on top of costing a move. All things considered, since Genjutsu like Tsukuyomi are a death sentence for non-Uchiha, that's not a whole lot to ask for the ability to continue fighting. Overall, this little one-two setup seems really powerful. Lots of very powerful effects, but with relatively sensible drawbacks, albeit lax in my opinion in some areas. Definitely unique though.

Hmm, that’s an interesting question but I’m inclined to believe it would still pertain to chakraless Taijutsu, as it would circumvent the restriction too much which I don’t think was the design when they made it. So I’d believe even chakraless tai would fall underneath it. You can also say technically the requirement to actually move naturally generates physical energy from the body which is then governed yang. So yea…but outside of it, I love the mod but its not one I use too often considering Yang State gives me more pluses lmao.

Anyways, Kuino’s explaination is pretty spot on. Unless you have any questions, that should be it.

Moving onto the last technique on the list:

Inton: Namakemono no Ude ) Yin Release: Hands of Sloth
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra Cost: 100 (110 w/ YY: Hands of Sloth) -50 per turn
Damage: 120
Description: This technique gets its name from one of the deadliest sins, Sloth. The user begins by clapping their hands and focusing their Yin Release chakra behind them, creating several chakra arms (up to 8) behind them, each of which is spiritual in nature. The arms themselves are invisible to the naked eye, but they can be sensed by external forms of chakra sensory or Doujutsu. The arms are capable of physically interacting with the world and attacking or defending against physical constructs. However, the user can freely turn them intangible if they wish to bypass these physical obstacles. The base usage of this technique allows the user to attack or defend covertly by freely manipulating the invisible arms. However, in their second form the user can add the “properties of sloth” to the hands which are dejection, idleness, and sleep. Dejection is a loss of will and focus translated in causing a victim to lose coherent perception of the world around them and weaken their ability to defend against genjutsu. Idleness is a loss of action which is translated to a hampered ability to cast techniques. Sleep is a loss of consciousness which is translated in a comatose state brought about by the sealing of one’s spirit if they are not sufficiently healed. The third and final form of this technique is brought about when the user introduces their Yang Release chakra which essentially makes the hands quasi-sentient and self-sufficient without the user’s mental input.
Note: all Yin Release users can use the base form of this technique. Yin Release masters or Yin-Yang users can use the second form. The final form of this technique can only be used by Yin-Yang users with a Yin affinity.
Note: The properties of sloth are spiritually degenerating properties. The more a victim interacts with the hands the worse they become. When touched by the hands once, the victim enters dejection and becomes unable to deduce A-rank and above genjutsu and unable to break S-rank genjutsu by any means. When touched twice the victim enters idleness and they become unable to perform techniques within a single time-frame. When touched thrice, the victim’s mind is sealed over the course of 2 turns and they enter a genjutsu that renders them a mindless puppet to the user. The properties of sloth can only affect victims if the hands are tangible. Switching between tangibility and intangibility requires a move.
Note: Genjutsu specialists and other Yin-Yang users can resist the properties of sloth through the use of counter genjutsu or Yin Release techniques like Yin State.
Note: This technique can be used once per battle. While in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yang Release, or Yin-Yang Release techniques.

Talk to me about it~

Okay so there's a bit going on with this in regards to the type of damage it inflicts, and how, but the baseline is the Hands are Spiritual in Nature, but inflict that damage through tangible, physical means. You're still inflicting spiritual damage, it's just done through physical interaction. You can make them intangible to assault targets through structures and other obstacles, but it does cost a move, and you can't inflict any of the properties of "Sloth" when you do. Also can't use them to attack, or interact with anything either, so there's a lot of trade off. The effects of Sloth are nice, making Genjutsu harder to notice, and break, then restricting them to one Jutsu per timeframe slot, so boosts and other ancillary effects can't be done consecutively to a technique, and finally another Jutsu whose effect ends in converting the target into a puppet, under the user's influence, much like Kuninotokotachi before this. Finally again the ability for Genjutsu specialists, and Y/Y masters to fight these effects. Overall nice stuff, and definitely more useful than Yin State.

Bahaha, well if no questions are here, I suppose that brings an end to thy Yin Training. I do believe this technique to be a bit lackluster for my taste but aye that's just me.
