It applies to the rank, not the damage.

The two major limitations of this technique is that it follows the debuffing rules. Meaning no boosts can be used while this is active.

The other major limitation placed on this technique, not outlined in it, is that you can't use this in conjunction with techniques that instantly materialize on an opponent. For example, Swamp of the Underworld or the Earth Core techniques can't be used to deliver this spirit.
I see, makes sense. Of course, materialization on the opponent would be wild.

Now for the related jutsu, and the outright most damage potential of the Yin techniques, Phantom Dragons.

(Inton: Dai Mugen Ryu) - Yin Release: Great Phantom Dragons
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra Cost: 150
Damage: 80 (per dragon) | 100 (for multi-element)
Description: A more powerful version of “Yin Release Hungry Ghost Technique.” Rather than the user arbitrarily adding their Yin Release chakra to a specific technique, the user will create a number of large, elemental dragons using any of the basic elements plus their Yin Release chakra. The user can create up to 5 serpentine dragons which, once created, can act independently according to the user’s will. Due to the user being able to manipulate multiple elements at once, each dragon created can be of a different nature. Each dragon will also have the absorption properties of “Hungry Ghost,” thus becoming even more dangerous. However, due to the massive amount of chakra and control needed to use these dragons, the user can only control two dragons at any given time. While the dragons are present, the user cannot use any Yang Release or elemental techniques that currently exist within the dragons. Yin Release masters can combine two natures together in order to make a multi-elemental dragon or even a dragon consisting of an advanced element or CE that they know. However, in doing so they will only be able to create two dragons.
Note: Can only be used 2 times per battle.
So you create elemental dragons of your choosing, and imbue them with the properties of Hungry Ghost. So keep in mind that means they can't be boosted. But you can create up to 5 normal elemental dragons simultaneously, and are able to consciously manipulate two, while using the rest as simple projectiles. Or you can just launch them all at once.

Thoughts?

I've read this one a few times, but yeah, it doesn't have much to elaborate on. It has potential to be extremely difficult to deal with, but I normally dislike LARGE techniques lol. I like the aesthetic, and creating dragons from CE, or two elemental natures can really put the opponent in a bind. Their range is great too. Too bad about the boosting, though :/

Yeah. It's very chakra intense too. Whopping 150 chakra.

Here's the final Yin technique that you can learn, the Hands of Sloth.

(Inton: Namakemono no Ude ) Yin Release: Hands of Sloth
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra Cost: 100 (110 w/ YY: Hands of Sloth) -50 per turn
Damage: 80 (each hand)
Description: This technique gets its name from one of the deadliest sins, sloth. The user begins by clapping their hands and focusing their Yin Release chakra behind them. The user creates several chakra arms (up to 8) behind them which are spiritual in nature. They do not appear to the naked senses, only Sage Mode users, Rinnegan and other Yin-Yang Release users can detect these hands. The best way to describe this technique is in relation to Madara’s Boader Jail technique. The arms are capable of physically interacting with the world and attacking or defending against physical constructs. However, the user can freely turn them completely intangible if they wish to bypass physical obstacles. The base usage of this technique allows the user to attack or defend covertly by freely manipulating the invisible arms. However, in their second form the user can add the “properties of sloth” to the hands which are dejection, idleness, and sleep. Dejection is a loss of will and focus translated in causing a victim to lose coherent perception of the world around them and weaken their ability to defend against genjutsu. Idleness is a loss of action which is translated to a hampered ability to cast techniques. Sleep is a loss of consciousness which is translated in a comatose state brought about by the sealing of one’s spirit if they are not sufficiently healed. The third and final form of this technique is brought about when the user introduces their Yang Release chakra which essentially makes the hands quasi-sentient and self-sufficient without the user’s mental input.
Note: all Yin Release users can use the base form of this technique. Yin Release masters or Yin-Yang users can use the second form. The final form of this technique can only be used by Yin-Yang users with a Yin affinity.
Note: The properties of sloth are spiritually degenerating properties. The more a victim interacts with the hands the worse they become. When touched by the hands once, the victim enters dejection and becomes unable to deduce A-rank and above genjutsu and unable to break S-rank genjutsu by any means. When touched twice the victim enters idleness and they become unable to perform techniques within a single time-frame. When touched thrice, the victim’s mind is sealed over the course of 2 turns and they enter a genjutsu that renders them a mindless puppet to the user. The properties of sloth can only affect victims if the hands are tangible. Switching between tangibility and intangibility requires a move.
Note: Genjutsu specialists and other Yin-Yang users can resist the properties of sloth through the use of counter genjutsu or Yin Release techniques like Yin-Yang Mode’s Yin State.
Note: This technique can be used once per battle. While in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yang Release, or Yin-Yang Release techniques.
Break it down for me.

Okay this one is a bit wild, and more in my area O_O. At least, some of it. Anyway, Hands of Sloth allows one to create several chakra arms (up to 8). These arms, spiritual in nature, can physically interact with the real world and can attack and defend, accordingly (I assume through passive manipulation of them, once formed). The arms can be switched from interacting to not interacting, but it costs a move.

The second form is barred from use for normal Yin users, but Yin masters can use it. Now this form is where the real stuff get in. The properties of Sloth are added, which are dejection, idleness and sleep. They follow in this manner, according to the touch of the hands of sloth, and the hands must be tangible.

  • 1. Dejection; basically causes individuals to lose their will, and lose coherent perception of the world around them. This lessens their ability to combat Genjutsu. This is a wild area, since it states that the opponent loses the ability to combat S rank Genjutsu, by any means. An area, I am definitely going to explore o-o. Reminds me of the Horo-Horo fruit from OP (you probably never watched OP, but this one character had these ghosts that literally took your will power and strength and made you DEPRESSED).
  • 2. Idleness focuses on a loss of action, here, opponents lose the ability to ability to use techniques in the same time frame. Not so wild, unless you're fighting someone with hella passives, and need to limit them. An area that can also be explored, especially with Fuuinjutsu, in terms of limiting the number of techniques to use, and perhaps even to hamper physical ability.
  • 3. Sleep, where the opponent will enter a comatose state, and be placed in a Genjutsu where they become a puppet of the user. It basically seals the spirit, completely. Deadly, and extreme too.
The entirety of the technique can only be used once, though. Also, the properties of Sloth can be combated by Yin-Yang users, or Genjutsu specialists, making this a technique to use against more physical based fighters. IN general, its quite wild in itself, and extremely costly. 100 chakra to create, and 50 to maintain, I will definitely need to find new ways to fill my reserves z,z

Uh, what kind of defense does it provide? The first form? How big are the arms? And when it says I can't use non-elemental Ninjutsu, does it mean, just normal Nin, or?

It provides defense as if they were Limbo creations. So think of Madara's clone, like the technique suggests. So defending would be done logically with the arms. And because each has S-Rank strength (80 dmg), they provide a pretty sizable defense. You could even wrap yourself fully in these to create a cocoon of sorts with the aggregate of the arms being a very powerful defensive technique.

The size is pretty ambiguous. Considering the arms can reach mid-range, you have to assume they can get pretty damn long (and proportionally large). So I'd say as long as you keep their size somewhat reasonable in comparison to your body size, then you're playing it safe. The mid-range reach really gives you a lot of wiggle room for deciding their size.

Non-elemental ninjutsu would mean things like Fuuin, Genjutsu, generic ninjutsu, etc. You can use Yin Release, but not Yang or Yin-Yang Release techniques.

Alright, cool. I'll keep that in mind. Watch me use these arms to walk around the field, and make it seem like I am flying fr.
