What does liquid fire look like to you? Can you articulate what it would mean if earth could absorb liquids? How would those work?
It would depend on how it's described in the move to achieve the state.. You can't simply say that fire is now liquid, but need to describe it so I'll give two examples of how I would go about describing it in a move.

Fire in a liquid state: "Seeing his opponent flee underground into network of attached tunnels forming a vast and intricate maze. Moving to the nearest entrance Hei will make the necessary handseals as he blends Yin into his chakra. Then upon completion Hei will release a massive flow of fire from his mouth altered by Yin. These flames taking on the properties of a liquid state allowing them to flow through the passageways of the underground maze as they take the path of least resistance as the weight of the flames, much like water, will lift and carry debris as it burns them. These flames will continue to spread heating the halls as they fill them. Ultimately the liquid flames will completely fill the tunnels in attempts to flood the opponent out."

In this example the nature of the fire is much like water, it will flow and have a density of water and thus have a weight behind it allowing for gravity to have an affect on it so it can flow and fill the tunnels as well as push away debris.

Absorbing Earth state: "As a massive wave of water continues to rush toward the city. Hei will make a series of handseals focusing Yin into his chakra as he rises a large wall. The earth wall will be pores' and sponge like not only serving the block the blunt of the wave but also absorb the water into itself as it expands, being hydrophilic in nature the water will pour and fill into the earthen walls pores instead of flowing to the sides. This will preventing any of the water from reaching the city"

In this example the earth acts hydrophilic like a sponge, allowing water to pour into itself and expand to withhold the extra volume.

Change into Heaven gives you a lot of freedom on how you can manipulate a technique's properties. But it's very important that you don't radically alter the original technique to the point where it is no longer recognizable. Then how it works comes into question, and you'll be in a precarious position to essentially describe what becomes a custom element in the middle of a battle. And if you fail to make proper explanations then you might outright lose the fight because you move no longer makes sense and fails. So be very cautious about its usage. Change into Heaven also doesn't transform techniques into spiritual ones. It can't be used to create intangibility on its own (you could make something invisible with it, but that is entirely different from intangibility).

Any other questions on Change into Heaven before we go on?

Nope Understood, thanks for going into further detail on the technique and risks of over altering a technique. I'll be sure to be clear and not attempt to alter a technique beyond what would be recognizable.

Ready to continue.

(Inton: Gogyou Gen) – Yin Release: Five Elements Illusion
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: N/A (+50 chakra cost to applied technique)
Description: This technique allows the user to combine their elemental chakra with Yin Release in order to create stronger, more potent Genjutsu. When the user casts a Genjutsu, rather than using their raw chakra they will use one of the basic elemental natures, thus increasing the potency of the jutsu. This technique increases the technique it is applied to by one rank in strength; due to the massive infusion of chakra a Genjutsu empowered by the Five Elements Illusion can penetrate through any passive defense or subversive method against Genjutsu. By using nature chakra rather than raw chakra, the properties of the Genjutsu can change in accordance to that nature and become stronger. For example, using Crushing Snake Constriction with Fire Release chakra would make the snakes appear, feel, and sound as though they were on fire. The user is free to alter the effects of a Genjutsu within reason as long as the primary effects remain the same. Like other Yin-Yang infusions, this technique only increases the chakra within the technique by an additional rank in strength, or 10, whichever is higher.
Note: Can only be used 6 times per battle.
Note: Cannot be used on techniques above S-Rank.
Note: Yin Release specialists can use advanced elements and CE.

Riddle me this - why are people so afraid of this technique?

For a couple reasons; The first being the more obvious is the +10 to the Genjutsu's chakra. This potency increase makes the technique harder to break via the surge method, likewise since the Genjutsu is one rank stronger, it would require a higher level of pain in order to break it. The more useful aspect of this technique, that might cause some to fear it, would be it's ability to bypass/penetrate/subversive passive defenses that an opponent might have against Genjutsu. Someone with Genjutsu defense specialty or a Doujutsu like MS, EMS or even Rinnegan might be relaying on said specialty/Dojutsu as their primary line of defense against Genjutsu, Rinnegan for example being able to see through all visual based Genjutsu will no longer be able to save them from a Genjutsu technique enhanced with this technique.

Explain this to me - how does the elemental nature of the Genjutsu matter in relation to a chakra surge?
There was a thread that had Genjutsu release methods and the differences between Genjutsu, Elemental Genjutsu and MS level Genjutsu. I believe it was outdated or something and removed. In that thread it stated the three methods of escape being

Chakra Surge: A surge of chakra equal to the amount of chakra used in the Genjutsu. (EIG and Kai as examples)
Foreign Chakra: external chakra/energy that can release genjutsu regardless of rank (Senjutsu or Curse Mark as examples.)
Pain: Inflicting pain to shock one out of the illusion.

As for the Elemental section, it stated that the illusion would gain it's elemental S/W. So is for example if earth chakra was applied to an S-rank genjutsu that ending chakra amount would be 50, Than a chakra surge of 40 using lightning element (or any element strong to earth) should be able to release it. I'm not sure if I'm remembering this right nor am I sure if those methods are still relevant since the thread is gone.

Right so piggybacking from what Drackos said; I do believe what you said is correct. I’m a bit too iffy on how elemental genjutsu works in terms of surges too but I do believe you are correct in that regard. Anyways, if you don’t have anymore lingering questions – we can continue into the next technique. This one being the following:

(Inton: Gaki no Jutsu) - Yin Release: Hungry Ghost Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A (+50)
Damage: N/A
Description: Hungry Ghost is a spiritual parasite created through the user’s Yin Release chakra. When using an elemental jutsu, the user will form the ram hand seal to seal the hungry ghost within their technique. Sealing the hungry ghost inside one’s technique happens within the same timeframe as their elemental technique. When the user’s technique clashes with another technique, the parasitic Yin Chakra will eat away at the chakra within the technique, weakening it by one rank. Once the hungry ghost consumes foreign chakra it is released and immediately attaches itself to the source of the foreign chakra (the opponent). From there, the parasite continues to eat away at the enemy’s chakra every time they use techniques (all techniques reduce in rank and power by 1 degree). Once the Hungry Ghost is released, its tether is immediate and cannot be blocked or circumvented by ordinary means. The effects of Hungry Ghost last for 4 turns.
Note: Can only be used 5 times per battle and cannot be used on the same target more than twice.
Note: Surges or Barriers that utilize Yin, Yang, Yin-Yang or Natural Energy can break or prevent the tethering of the Hungry Ghost.
Note: Yin Release master can apply this technique to advanced elements and CE
Note: Hungry Ghost can only be used on S-rank techniques and below.

Talk with me about this one, tell me the ins and outs, what you think you cant do with it etc. I wish to know what you understand about this little fella.

Do I've already learned this technique, Drackos was just going over some of the techniques in further detail since they were slightly updated. If you look back on the previous page you'll see what I've learned already. The only techniques I have left to learn are: Yin State and Kuninotokotachi, Lightning Dispatch (since I have six paths senjutsu), and Hands of Sloth.

Hmm, ok. Anyways I guess, what do you think of this then. Tell me where you might see the Yang within this technique; completely dissect this one for me and I'll give my own commentary on it.

(Inton Modo) – Yin State
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: 200 (-40 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Based on Hagoromo’s Six Paths Sage Mode, those who have specialized in Yin Release can enter this mode to elevate their prowess, reaching the pinnacle of spiritual capabilities. Because the user lacks the Juubi’s monstrous chakra and natural energy it makes it impossible to properly balance both Yin and Yang natures simultaneously at such a high level. When entering this mode, users first gather their five basic chakra natures and their Yin nature. They then manipulate the ratio of their Yin to Yang chakra such that one nature almost completely overshadows the other, done almost instantly. The result causes the user to enter Yin State. Yin State is the state entered by users when they emphasize their Yin chakra over their Yang. In this state the user is endowed with a pitch-black chakra cloak with white magatama down the center, along the collar and sleeves. The cloak can be shaped cosmetically. The cloak reaches down to the user’s ankles and covers a jet-black jumpsuit is underneath. The user’s nails, lips, hair, and sclera also become jet black. When Yin State is entered the user gains the technique Kuninotokotachi. Kuninotokotachi is a Genjutsu technique that grants the user spiritual prowess on par with the Uchiha’s Mangekyou Sharingan. When casting Genjutsu the user’s techniques become strong enough to hypnotize and almost completely control their opponent’s actions like Kotoamatsukami. While in Yin State the user gains a potent spiritual defense, making them immune to any A-Rank and below Genjutsu, barring Doujutsu Illusions. The user also gains a complete S-Rank defense against other spiritual and mental based abilities. Those abilities that inflict physical damage will still inflict physical damage, but have their spiritual portion negated. The drawback to this state is that the disproportional amount of energy makes users incapable of using Yang Release techniques and other physically elevating techniques. Advanced forms of taijutsu movement (anything that requires chakra or is B-rank and above) also become unusable.
Note: This technique only lasts 6 turns and can be used once per battle.
Note: One must have completed Yin Release in order to use this technique. The user can only use either Yin or Yang state on any bio, unless they are a Yin-Yang Release Master.
Note: Once the technique ends the user’s spiritual or physical chakra is drained to the barest minimum for their survival, thus making them incapable of using Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release techniques for 10 turns and incapable of using Genjutsu or spiritual abilities for 5 turns.
Note: Once this technique ends the user is unable to use techniques above A-Rank for 4 turns.

To be honest I'm stumped on were the Yang is in this technique. It seems devoid of Yang. All of it's properties can be attributed to Yin Release so you got me there. I'm just not sure..

As for the technique itself it's rather self explanatory so I'll try not to reiterate what the technique already covers but instead explain why I understand how it works. Aside from the cosmetic stuff, by overshadowing your Yang nature with Yin, your spiritual self becomes enhanced.
  • You become strong enough to use "Kotoamatsukami", an illusion technique on par with MS. I think this is because your spirituality is stronger and with the influence of Yin and allows for usage of more powerful illusions, which are also spiritually based.
  • You have complete immunity to A-rank and below Genjutsu with the exception of Doujutsu illusions. This is because Doujutsu illusions are of higher potency then standard ones.
  • You gain a S-rank defense against spiritual and mental based abilities.. I'm assuming this refers to techniques outside of Genjutsu, since Genjutsu is already categorized. Working on techniques like Ronin's spiritual kenjutsu, Yin Release's spiritual based techniques, and Yamanaka techniques as examples. I also assume this works as Damage Shaving, just like Yang State? reducing 80 damage from spiritual techniques. but it doesn't reduce damage from physical techniques that have spiritual effects. The spiritual effect will be blocked, but the damage will still remain. A fire attack will still do damage, but the hungry ghosts effect won't take hold.
  • As the downside, the imbalance limits your ability to perform high level taijutsu, yang and yin-yang all for extended time. You will also be unable to preform techniques above A-rank for 4 turns. This is because the overshadowing Yin and stunts your physical self, making this technique more suited for ranged combat. The high and taxing chakra costs also stunt your chakra system. This mixture of stunted chakra and body is what limits your ability to use high level techniques for an extended time

Bahaha, ngl that was a trick question considering Yin State is the literal embodiment of almost fully dumping one half for the other. Now the only “Yang” I can really see in it is that how the user’s body changes per say, gaining the darkened skin tones, eyes etc. Things that physically affect the body – but beyond that, you certainly hit the nail on the head. As you mentioned, it’s pretty straightforward in terms of what it does. As for the question, yes it refers to spiritual damage negation – but it doesn’t protect you from auxiliary effects like binding, etc. Things like Hungry Ghost will still affect you in the long run so be careful. Anyways, we’ll be moving onto the next technique attached to Yin State:

( Kuninotokotachi ) - Kuninotokotachi
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: N/A
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: This technique is the strongest non-kekkei genkai genjutsu in existence. Kuninotokotachi gives the user’s genjutsu powerful hypnotic and influential abilities and puts them on par with the ocular powers of the Mangekyou Sharingan. The user hides manipulative thoughts and suggestions within their genjutsu such that, when cast on an opponent, they are indistinguishable from their own thoughts. The effects of this technique are strongest the closer one is to the user, allowing the user to influence the actions of others even subliminally. Long enough exposure to the user’s genjutsu while under the affects of Kuninotokotachi will eventually render victims completely unconscious, unable to respond at all. At such a point, the only ways to release the hold of Kuninotokotachi would be for the user to release it themselves, for the user to die or an outside source to transfer at least 150 chakra from Yin techniques or 75 chakra from Yang techniques to balance. Because of the strength of Kuninotokotachi, abilities designed to prevent genjutsu such as mental resistances, barriers, and other seals of the like are ineffective. With this technique the only way to avoid genjutsu would be to prevent them from happening or stay out of range. On the defensive side, Kuninotokotachi allows for the user to reverse genjutsu like Sharingan Genjutsu and even release the affects of techniques like Tsukuyomi.
Note: The hypnosis of this technique allows for the user to mask holes within a genjutsu that would ordinarily cause speculation. For example, if using false surroundings for a sudden drastic environment change, the user could implant a suggestion that would force the opponent not to question how suddenly the environment changed or to ignore certain aspects such as “the water isn’t wet.” However, these suggestions must be spelled out within the user’s move and must pertain to the affects of the genjutsu. A user cannot force opponents to forget how to defend against x-element or make them use y-technique if the genjutsu’s foundation does not establish such foundations.
Note: The effects of this technique are strongest the closer one is to the target. Within short-range users can capture others within their hypnotic spell and completely take over their body within 2 turns. At mid-range the hypnotic spell takes 3 turns, and long range is ineffective. Those with genjutsu specialty can resist for an additional turn while other Yin Release masters can resist for another 2 additional turns are unaffected at mid-range and beyond.
Note: The user can reverse genjutsu with this technique once per turn (one turn cool down for S-rank and above). Should the user fall under the spell of Mangekyou tier genjutsu the user can release the affects at the cost of a move but become incapable of using genjutsu for two turns after the fact.
Note: This technique remains active for as long as the user is within the Yin State of Yin-Yang Mode.

This is a powerful technique, so talk to me as much as you can about it.

Seeing as the technique itself has no chakra, range or damage value and judging from it's description. It's safe to assume this is a technique that is applied over other Genjutsu the user decides to use while in Yin State. Is it also is safe to assume that you reference this technique along side the usage of Yin state, but this technique itself doesn't count as one of your allocated moves for that turn?

As for the effects of the technique, i'll give an example to see if I'm understanding it correct. If you use a Genjutsu on an opponent, that would cause them to suddenly find themselves trapped by vines. You can alter their thought process by leaving the suggestion that it's natural for vines to grow and ensnare people at random.. Or, if you know your opponent has means of detecting if their own chakra signature is influenced by an illusion, you can implant the suggestion that their chakra fluctuating doesn't mean that they are in an illusion. But what you cannot do, is suggest that they cannot break the illusion.

As for the rest of the technique it's self explanatory. Can reverse genjutsu, including MS level. It's also on par with MS level illusions. It's effectiveness is tied to range, which is a double edged sword since Yin State makes you want to keep distance, but this technique makes you want to get close. Depending on if someone specializes in Genjutsu or Yin, this techniques effectiveness is also altered. And if someone is fully taken over, then it would require a large amount of yin chakra, or Yang chakra, from an outside source to release it.

And if someone is fully taken over, then it would require a large amount of yin chakra, or Yang chakra, from an outside source to release it.
Right so I believe its supposed to be a passive activation when you enter into Yin State much like the Onibi Technique for Yang State. Will let the mods know to probably edit this to mention it in the technique. Also you can technically post it each time you use a genjutsu for sure. So yea you can do that. Your example with the suggestion is pretty spot on, it’s really just gonna be a matter of making suggestions alongside the illusion to make it harder to break is all. It really is a powerful technique haha, but yea pretty much straight forward with the rest of it. It’s honestly a very scary technique if used with the Kurama Clan KG…*makes notes*. Anyways we move onto the final Yin Release Technique, alongside an additional technique since your bio has access to Six Paths Senjutsu.

(Inton: Namakemono no Ude ) Yin Release: Hands of Sloth
Type: Supplementary/Offensive/Defensive
Rank: S
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra Cost: 100 (110 w/ YY: Hands of Sloth) -50 per turn
Damage: 120
Description: This technique gets its name from one of the deadliest sins, Sloth. The user begins by clapping their hands and focusing their Yin Release chakra behind them, creating several chakra arms (up to 8) behind them, each of which is spiritual in nature. The arms themselves are invisible to the naked eye, but they can be sensed by external forms of chakra sensory or Doujutsu. The arms are capable of physically interacting with the world and attacking or defending against physical constructs. However, the user can freely turn them intangible if they wish to bypass these physical obstacles. The base usage of this technique allows the user to attack or defend covertly by freely manipulating the invisible arms. However, in their second form the user can add the “properties of sloth” to the hands which are dejection, idleness, and sleep. Dejection is a loss of will and focus translated in causing a victim to lose coherent perception of the world around them and weaken their ability to defend against genjutsu. Idleness is a loss of action which is translated to a hampered ability to cast techniques. Sleep is a loss of consciousness which is translated in a comatose state brought about by the sealing of one’s spirit if they are not sufficiently healed. The third and final form of this technique is brought about when the user introduces their Yang Release chakra which essentially makes the hands quasi-sentient and self-sufficient without the user’s mental input.
Note: all Yin Release users can use the base form of this technique. Yin Release masters or Yin-Yang users can use the second form. The final form of this technique can only be used by Yin-Yang users with a Yin affinity.
Note: The properties of sloth are spiritually degenerating properties. The more a victim interacts with the hands the worse they become. When touched by the hands once, the victim enters dejection and becomes unable to deduce A-rank and above genjutsu and unable to break S-rank genjutsu by any means. When touched twice the victim enters idleness and they become unable to perform techniques within a single time-frame. When touched thrice, the victim’s mind is sealed over the course of 2 turns and they enter a genjutsu that renders them a mindless puppet to the user. The properties of sloth can only affect victims if the hands are tangible. Switching between tangibility and intangibility requires a move.
Note: Genjutsu specialists and other Yin-Yang users can resist the properties of sloth through the use of counter genjutsu or Yin Release techniques like Yin State.
Note: This technique can be used once per battle. While in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yang Release, or Yin-Yang Release techniques.

( Senpō: Inton Raiha ) - Sage Art: Yin Release Lightning Dispatch
Type: Offensive
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 80
Damage: 120
Description: The user forms a mirrored Ram handseal and combines Yin release with his Natural Energy, and then releases myriads of purple tangible lightning bolts from the palms of each of his hands to capture the target. These purple bolts are actual bolts of lightning, similar to Kirin.
Note: This can only be used by bios with access to Six Paths Senjutsu.

Go crazy.

Hands of Sloth: One of the more power techniques in Yin and deadly if you don't have the means to sense it. You can create up to 8 invisible to the normal eye hands, able to reach out to long range. The more hands you make, divides their individual power. You can alter the tangibility of the hands, allowing them to bypass physical structures. etc. but their properties only apply if the hands are tangible. This brings me to my first question. If you're using a hand to attack someone, and they use an earth wall to defend.. You can then spend a move to make them intangible. After passing through he wall can you then make the part past the wall tangible again? even if the other part of the arm remains intangible as it phases though the wall? And if so does this count as two moves since you've shifted the tangibility twice? Also, since it says the "properties" can only be done in the tangible state, does that mean the intangible state can still do damage, but not apply the spiritual effects during that time? Last questions, The damaged caused my this technique is Spiritual or Physical with spiritual effects? And does the tangibility of the hands alter the type of damage inflicted?

Lightning Dispatch: A rather straight forward technique, similar to other lightning techniques you release a myriads of purole lightning from your hands. This was shown in the series to be used my Madara Uchiha in his fight against Naruto and Sasuke. The technique boosts a high chakra level making it difficult to absorb, and since it's "natural" lightning I think it's safe to assume techniques like Karma won't be able to absorb it. The one thing I'm not sure about is if the lightning from the technique carries chakra within it? or if the chakra is just a cost to create them, but they don't have chakra in themselves like Kirin.. I know the technique hasn't been used before so I'll take this question to the QnA on the discord if you're not sure...

"Switching between tangibility and intangibility requires a move." It's right in the notes haha. While intangible, it wouldn't do any damage as the damage comes from the physically striking hands. No cap; that lightning technique is hella weird, but if I had to put my nose in it; I think it's a similar case to Kirin yes, where it literally has no chakra within it, you just pay chakra to control the lightning...it's weird lol, i'll def bring it up in the QnA section.
