well not really, but just incase a smart a** wants to start ish, I beat you to it.

Anyways, during the war I started thinking that the series was rushed. I thought that Kishimoto long ago ran out of ideas and began winging it while managing to piece SOME events/etc together like any good author would. Based on certain things he's said in the past , though, I doubt that the ending is what he would've really wanted. I think he bsed it honestly. So as an explanation I think this is what happened. He finished the main things he wanted to finish (the fight, the war) and then threw his hands up in the air...15 years, nonstop drawing, he just wanted out. But his assistant wants to make money...so he convinced Kishimoto to sign off on an ending that would lead to his spin off. For me, and I know you guys have heard this before, but the manga ended at 698 or at the very least 699 (minus page 17..yes I'm guilty of hardcore hating right now, I embrace it tho). I am not even bashing the ending, it was acceptable. But for me who has read kishimoto's interviews it doesn't seem like the real ending if that makes sense.

It wasn't that bad, I wished that there was more exposition after IT was released in the current era though, but other than that I was fine with it

the manga was rushed

Indeed, there are still so many thing unclear, however, I think he rushed the end so that it could finish while the Manga was still on top of popularity.

I was pretty satisfied with the end except for a few things and as Kishimoto stated during several interviews, he had the final episode clear from day one, so I guess the end was pretty much what Kishimoto had in mind

I don't find the Naruto ending rushed at all. It ended very nicely. It's a happy ending and there isn't much more that I want that Kishi could include.

For me the writing seemed a bit off from the point that Madara spat out the sages tools to Tenten.

Edit: Come to think of it, was any explanation given as to how the people who were sealed within the tools were freed? I'm all for happy endings but i thought that once the tools had sealed someone that those sealed would be sealed forever... regardless of whether IT was released (which was totally unrelated).

huh? .....meh

yea this is an example of one of the many things he didn't clear up. the tools were obviously supposed to be used and not just put in a store as decor.

in another interview i think i remember him saying he didn't want to end with pairings though...so it just comes off as he just bsed the ending

Just annoyed by the fact Sasuke is still alive and that it's an almost fully happy ending.
Also kind of annoyed at the entire kids thing.
Certainly hope that if there's gonna be a part 3 they will have kakashi star in it, not the kids.

I can tell anyone straight off the bat that all of the pairings in the end were asspulls!

Actually, they weren't even close to it lols. The only one that wasn't foreshadowed was Chouji and Karui. All the others were developed, including Sai and Ino.

@ The op, it is the end of the manga, but not the end of the series because they are making the mini series and the film. Kishimoto is writing the film and advising the mini series. The film is going to explore Hamura, the Hyuuga and Byakugan like so many have wanted forever and the series will likely be about the kids and Naruto and Sasuke's final frendly fight.
