well not really, but just incase a smart a** wants to start ish, I beat you to it.
Anyways, during the war I started thinking that the series was rushed. I thought that Kishimoto long ago ran out of ideas and began winging it while managing to piece SOME events/etc together like any good author would. Based on certain things he's said in the past , though, I doubt that the ending is what he would've really wanted. I think he bsed it honestly. So as an explanation I think this is what happened. He finished the main things he wanted to finish (the fight, the war) and then threw his hands up in the air...15 years, nonstop drawing, he just wanted out. But his assistant wants to make money...so he convinced Kishimoto to sign off on an ending that would lead to his spin off. For me, and I know you guys have heard this before, but the manga ended at 698 or at the very least 699 (minus page 17..yes I'm guilty of hardcore hating right now, I embrace it tho). I am not even bashing the ending, it was acceptable. But for me who has read kishimoto's interviews it doesn't seem like the real ending if that makes sense.
