Yes, Obito probably intended for Sasuke to harbor the Juubi, it would have been a lot easier than convincing most people to do so. I mean c'mon, telling Sasuke that theres a way for him to relive the old days with his family permanently? Please.....Sasuke would have jumped on the bandwagon faster than you could have said 'Sharingan'!

But fate had other plans, when Kabuto showed Obito the last Edo Tensei, those plans went out the window. Obito couldnt carry out his original wish with an unstoppable, infinite chakra, pissed off Edo Madara running around, could he?


So he went and retrieved the Rinnegan from Nagato and planted it in himself, so as to ensure a way to tease Edo
Madara and establish some form of control over him, like he did in the last chapter.


What will happen from now on is completely uncertain. You've got three Uchiha's with their own individual motives and a significant amount of power in their arsenal. Anything could happen!

I am talking about events AFTER Nagato's death. Obito can't handle the Juubi because half of his body is artificial human! There is nothing wrong with Sasuke, he's a pure Uchiha, he doesn't have half a Zetsu body. Sasuke would have made a perfect host for Juubi. Madara wanted to be resurrected just as Sasuke is now.

Yup Obito always had a back up, that explains why he was so supportive of Sasuke. Obito is the reason Sasuke got his revenge on Danzo. Obito is the reason Sasuke has Itachi's eyes and knows the truth about him. Obito even made sure of pushing Sasuke to use his MS at the summit and thus use up his light so he would end up needing the transplant. Obito saved Sasuke's ass sooo many times, even though he was the one to put him in dangerous situations.

Obito didn't do all of that out of some sense of Uchiha brotherhood he felt for Sasuke, there's always a motive.
