Itachi's Yata Mirror is activated. They were in the radius of the explosion. Unless you can provide a reasonable explanation on how they especially Itachi who's an Edo survived the explosion my point stands. Itachi had no reason to fully activate his Susano just to use the Totsuka Blade :/

Still not a separate nature transformation though but instead a combination of both Yin(the spiritual energy) and Yang(the physical energy)

susanoo is a product of sharingan which in term is a combination of two nature transformations right?
mokuton is a combination of water and earth transformations

every jutsu consists of release of yin and yang energy as no jutsu can be performed without it,but i still wouldnt put Yin-Yang release as a separate nature transformation though.
