I kinda agree except the Yata Mirror can change all of its attributes to counter an incoming attack, this includes size and shape. The Yata Mirror blocks and keeps smiling at any attack, whether that's from behind or above, or below.

Anyway, the weapons are not overrated. Until proven otherwise the manga-definition of these items stand.
Although I do question whether or not Itachi's feet are still exposed because Susano'o doesn't cover that area.
Should just add that not only on top of sealing w/e it pieces, Totsuka was able to defeat Orochimaru's strongest Summoning (according to the databook, could be wrong).

We have not seen enough of it to fully understand its limits and the data book is sketchy at best.
You cannot assume when it says it changes its properties, that includes size.
Im not saying it couldn't either but thats not somthing we are 100% sure of.
By properties they could mean elements, shape/size, niether or both, we are not 100% certain.

Lol Yata mirror has done exactly what the DB said it can, & that's change every one of it's properties in accordance to the attack. & the word "attack" is singular because the implied context is any general attack [including two jutsus at once, simultaneous blows, & things of that nature].
Yes we can considering it's already been shown to do it. It's never been attacked from behind so what reason would it have to provide protection from that area?

If it meant elements then it would mention elements, as those are specific properties.

Sorry dude...your proof is not proof. 2 different angles and 2 different distances. This doesn't prove it can change its size.
Answer me this: if yata does have this 360 degree of invincibility you claim it does, what happened to Itachis face/clothes/cloak after kirin hit?

These things are shown stabbing cripples and blocking exploding seals, and until these items that will never be seen again are shown being overcome somehow, they will forever rely solely on their hype and no-limit fallacies... just like everything about Itachi, gotcha.
Itachi's feet are still exposed.
Totsuka cut off the heads of Orochimaru's hydra transformation which has the power of regeneration. Although it is supposed to loosely tie in with mythology with how Susanoo chopped Yamata no Orochi to pieces (after getting it drunk on sake, because Susasnoo couldn't beat it otherwise). Also notice that Totsuka extends from a sake gourd, and those pierced by Totsuka are trapped in an intoxicating dream. Clever. Although, in the myth, Totsuka broke against Yamata no Orochi's Kusanagi sword.

Angles & distances don't matter, we can clearly see by comparing the shield to susanoo that it increased in size & changed it's shape. Perspective is irrelevant here.

You dont make any sense. Yata can "expand" so to speak so itachi just looked up at this big ass dragon made of raw lightning and thought "yeah I dont need yata for this"? Bullshit.
And again about your pictures after taking a 2nd look....your delving in too much of what simply looks like sloppy art. Go back and look at how susanoo is drawn in that picture when its zoomed out. Basically, it seems the artist didn't really care to depict the true size of the shield.
