Alright bet. So Yang is the male or light side of the Yin-Yang spectrum and where they are one in the same, yet they are complete polar opposites. Yang is the form of giving life where there is none, vitalization, and invigoration. Yin, on the other hand, is the opposite. Instead of having to do with the physicality and invigoration of things, it has to do with making the impossible possible, and is more based on the mental and spiritual (yin = imagination) rather than the physical. Of course, in the series, Naruto is the embodiment of Yang where is Sasuke is the embodiment of Yin. This would be shown through their powers throughout Naruto and Boruto. In the RP, it translates to roughly the same thing almost exactly. For a rough example, if a yin user came into contact with a plant, he can make that plant transparent and intangible all the while it still being a plant. On yang’s end, the plant could be given sentience or made or grow into a tree instantly rather than years of waiting or even more limbs would grow from it quicker.

This would be my rough and quick assessment of yang as well as yin on the side, being that again, two sides but of the same coin.

Bool, we'll go more in depth in concepts and whatnot as we go along. First technique, talk to me. What it do, what do you think are some limitations to it's usages, and what aspects of Yin are being used in it?

(Yoton: Jigoku ni henkō) - Yang Release: Change into Hell
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A (+50, -10 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user is able to use their Yang nature too imbue life into an elemental technique, creating a Yang/Element sentient entity that remains on the field to aid them. The only limit is the size of the technique originally used as an elemental source, as the resulting entity will always be half the size. The entity can be interacted with, can act on its own, and is made of the element sourced with all its properties intact. Its strength is based on the original elemental technique used as a source. This doesn’t consume time since it is actually a skill applied to a technique used within the same timeframe. The infused chakra increases the technique by an additional ten chakra, of the fifty it costs in total. Note that the resulting entity created by this technique is bound by logical limitations of its shape and nature; a meteor cannot move on its own, a pillar cannot walk away, and a statue without arms cannot pick things up. Likewise, while it is able to use techniques from the source it is created from it cannot extend into different fields. For instance, if Susano’o is brought to life by this technique it cannot use Blaze Release unless the Susano’o itself is constructed, or partially formed, from Blaze itself (e.g. Sasuke’s Susano’o). It is bound by the literal source it is formed from, rather than the fields it is bound to.
Note: Usable 3 times per battle and up to 6 times per event to create one entity with up to 300 chakra points that is able to use jutsu from the source it was created from. Its chakra reserves can be replenished through external means, and because it has a chakra network can fall under the influence of Genjutsu or other Spiritual-based techniques.
Note: Yang Release Specialists and Yin-Yang users can apply this technique to advanced fields and CE and advanced elements.

Okay bet, so change into hell. This basically gives your technique sentience in the sense that it will turn into just that. A sentient being. It will have a mind of its own as well as a chakra system, etc. I think the limitations, as far as I am aware, is the fact that the technique in question cannot be changed by this technique (which I hope I am wrong). So if I shoot out a wall of fire, it will be just that. A sentient wall of fire that would react and act on its own with its own chakra pool and could shoot techniques of its same element: fire. Whereas if I created a fire dragon, it would be more versatile, having the same properties but perhaps being able to move around more, and do a little bit more in terms of being active in the battle in general. The drawbacks would be the fact that it is sentient with a chakra network so as the technique states, it is subjective to genjutsu and the likes as the user would be, and it is locked into the element it is created from. The other drawback is the fact that if I make a sentient fireball, its not like it will be able to grab stuff or run or anything, it has no arms and no legs.

The only yin aspect I can tell about it is the fact that it can be influenced by yin-based techniques like genjutsu, hungry ghosts, hands of sloth, etc.

I do have a few questions, though. I am guessing it takes 50 chakra to flat out activate the technique, then +10 per turn to fuel the technique up to 300 chakra, which means it would have a maximum of 300 chakra to spend on its own. Does the +10 come from the 50 I spend or is that extra? How does all that work?

Can this technique be affected by ring of hell, where it may not have arms, what I created, but made to have arms and the likes after using ring of hell on it? As it is a sentient being and falls under the category of what I can use ring of hell on.

No on RoH, we'll get into why when we reach it. Yes it's 50 flat to activate, the 10 comes from the creation itself, so from the 300. Moving on

(Yoton: Taiyōnomegumi) - Yang Release: Touch of the Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost:70 per use
Damage points: N/A
Description: Through the infusion of Yang natured chakra into others, users can heal others to their original best physical form. It can be used to regrow missing body parts, heal wounds, purge poisons, etc. The target needs to be alive and the bigger the injury, the longer it takes to heal. The limits of the heal, however, are almost none as it can heal 150 damage per turn and can even heal the chakra system or other injuries that are otherwise not possible to be healed. The technique requires time and physical contact and as such isn't very suited to use in a battle when compared to regular Iryo Ninjutsu.
Note: Yang Release Specialists and Yin-Yang users are able to use on themselves.

Not sure how to explain this as the description is very detailed and explains it very well. It’s just a simple yet big healing tech that requires physical touch to conduct. And it can also be used on one’s self if a yang specialist or Y/Y user.

Aight boom, I think you'd like this one

(Yoton: Ken'i) - Yang Release: Power of The Sun
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 100 (50 per turn)
Damage points: N/A (+40 to Taijutsu)
Description: The user will reinforce his own body with Yang natured chakra, empowering his physical abilities to the outermost limits. This allows him to become physically very strong (beyond the normal levels of chakra enhanced strength), increases his resistance to physical damage (decreasing 60 damage from any physical contact), his speed (boosted to 3.5x his normal speed), and grants him a passive healing of all minor wounds at 30 damage per turn. However, by infusing himself with the Yang Nature, he becomes unable to use Yin Release techniques or Yin/Yang Release techniques; he cannot use Genjutsu or non elemental Ninjutsu of any kind (including special fields like Fuuinjutsu).
Note: Can only be used twice per battle and lasts 4 turns per use.

Yes. I like it so much I used it in an official battle without learning it. It’s a huge power up with the only drawback being that you cannot use yin techniques while in this state or non-elemental ninjutsu, including fuuinjutsu and the likes.

But I do have a question. I love my Kiyoshi, right? Say I am using their techs, which are none elemental, but I use them for taijutsu? It’s raw chakra, but I am still physically punching or kicking, etc. Will that boost apply? Matter of fact, can I even use that at all in this state since it is non-elemental? It’s counted as “raw chakra” but it’s energy, as stated in the CC and description. Not chakra. This is solidified by the fact that we can sense inanimate objects and if we sensed chakra, not energy, we wouldn’t be able to sense those kinds of things because only living creatures have chakra. So I would love if I could use my Kiyoshi techs in unison with this.

I’ll have to get back to you on that Kiyoshi question, cause it’s been a minute since I’ve seen them and yk phone replies blow.

Yoton: Yamata no Orochi) Yang Release: 8 Branched Giant Snake
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra Cost: 100/110 for Yin-Yang chakra
Damage: 100/120 w/ Elemental or Yin-Yang chakra
Description: This technique sees the creation of the mythical serpent, the Yamata no Orochi. The user begins by gathering their Yang chakra into their arms and creating three branching streams of white chakra from each of them as well as coating both arms in chakra. The user’s arms and streams of chakra will take the form of serpents with flaming amber eyes. Due to the nature of this technique utilizing one’s Yang chakra, these serpents are not simple manifestations of chakra, but actual sentient creatures. The serpents can sense entities like ordinary snakes and they share a telepathic link to the user, allowing them to communicate with each other. They act like chakra arms and can be used for a variety of purposes. In the base form of this technique, the 8 branches are simple ethereal constructs of sentient Yang chakra. In their second form, users can add nature release to the branches to increase their power. In their third and final form, the user can add Yin Release chakra and give the branches physical bodies. The addition of the Yin Release also gives the branches unique venom which drains the physical vitality of the victim. The bite from each snake lowers a victim’s physical speed, reaction, and ability to use high ranked physical techniques.
Note: Form 1 is capable by all users of Yang Release, Form 2 is capable of Yang Release Specialists and Yin-Yang users. Form 3, also known as Yin-Yang Release: Yamata no Orochi is only capable of Yin-Yang Users.
Note: The vitality degenerating venom is capable by all branches of this technique, however there is only enough for 3 usages. The vitality degeneration venom becomes worse with every bite. If a victim is bitten once their base reaction/tracking is reduced by half, twice and their base speed and physical damage is reduced by half, and thrice they will lose the ability to use any form of tai or kenjutsu techniques and will be rendered completely paralyzed 2 turns after the third bite if not healed. The victim will be unable to do anything short of breathing, including using their chakra. Users bitten once also become incapable of using physical elevating techniques such as Sage Mode or EIG.
Note: Medical ninja or other Yang Release users can rid themselves of the poison through means of medical techniques or vitality boosting techniques such as power of the sun.
Note: Technique can only be used once per battle and requires 50 chakra points to maintain (60 above the first form). While this technique is in use, the user cannot use any non-elemental ninjutsu, Yin Release, or Yin-Yang techniques (other than this technique’s advanced variation).

Yes. Two to be exact but that's in the past. I am a changed person.

Okay this technique seems like a lot, but I have studied it before, and it is not. With that being said, you basically create sentient ethereal snakes (with the usage of Yin release you can manifest their physical bodies), and these branch off of your arms and pretty much acts like a summon with separate sensing and can communicate with the user telepathically. There are two forms, the first being available to yang users, the second being available to yang specialist or Yin/Yang users, the third form only able to be used by Yin/Yang users. It's a huge debuffer tech which is awesome. My only question is: am I still able to make seals and all that with these snakes manifested?

Yes you can still make seals.

( Yoton: Byako ) - Yang Release: White Tiger
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 70 (-40 per turn)
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user gathers Yang energy into his arms and hands, creating pseudo sentient white tiger heads. Due to the Yang energy, the arms become incredibly hot, causing steam emanate from them. The tiger heads roar when the user attacks and releases the dense steam as a result. In spite of the menacing appearance of the tigers, the strikes do not cause bone crushing or outwardly physical harm. Each strike onto the target causes a massive release of yang chakra into the body, which causes an imbalance of Yang energy. The imbalance results in the target's inability to mold chakra sufficiently for techniques. A single strike from this technique is all that is required to imbalance one's chakra. Targets afflicted by this imbalance become incapable of using techniques unless they spend 3x the amount chakra ordinarily required. However, excessive amounts of chakra from this technique (one turn of contact or a total of 4 completed strikes) results in a more degrading consequence. The incoming chakra becomes so great that it literally begins to burn away the victim's Yin Release chakra in order to make room until the ratio of Yin is at its minimum level required for the victim to remain alive. This reduces the victim's chakra pool by 50% as well as cause their body such tremendous physical pain due to the excess physical energy in their body. Their muscles begin to tear resulting in their movement speed being reduced by 1/4th. Other Yang Release users and Yin-Yang users are capable of controlling the excess amounts of Yang release energy due to their training and thus, will not lose any speed and will only lose 25% of their chakra. Senjutsu surges of equivalent chakra or infusions of those ranks will negate the side effects of this Jutsu, allowing it to be ended prematurely. Should two or more strikes land, the amount of chakra needed to break it will increase likewise, requiring 20 more chakr.
Note: One strike prevents the use of techniques S-rank and above and requires 3x the normal cost for techniques A-rank and below. Yin-Yang Release users can use S-rank at 3x the cost due to their elevated control. The use of Yin Release and genjutsu above A-rank becomes impossible after 2 strikes. All matter of genjutsu becomes unusable after 4 strikes.
Note: The technique ends when the user calls for it or after they've made 4 successive strikes, whichever comes first. While the jutsu is active, the user cannot use Yin Release or non-elemental ninjutsu.
Note: Usable twice per battle and with a 4 turn cool down.

Bet.

Alright, again, another technique that looks intimidating due to how much wording but is rather simple at base. It also screams Might Guy in terms of visuals.

It is literally just another debuffer tech just like the snakes with what and how it debuffs in the description, with it lacking the fact they can communicate with you and stuff because the snakes are actually sentient, these aren't quite in the same realm AKA "pseudo sentient" via the description. So the snakes serve their purpose while this serves anther. Nothing too big in terms of how it works. Get hit x amount of times suffer x amount of debuff(s) and I can turn this off and on at will and can choose to turn it off and wait 4 turns to turn it back on or leave it on and have it turn off after 4 successful hits. Usable twice, 4 turn cooldown between uses. 70 chakra to start up, -40 per turn. I find this good to basically coat your taijutsu techs in to add a debuffer into them.

( Yoton: Jigoku no Enjin ) - Yang Release: Ring of Hell
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 80 for touch based version/100 for ranged version
Damage: N/A
Description: By channeling copious amounts of Yang energy, the user is able to infuse others with this, temporarily enhancing their physical attributes. This is achieved in two ways, either by direct touch or proximity. The first is more limited to a single person but has greater benefits; those channeled directly into will be able to reduce 35 damage from physical contact and gain physical alterations to their body that the Yang energy 'breathes' into life, such as twice the height or width of their body, additional arms or legs, etc as long as within reason and used solely for physical purposes. Should the user use the alternative release, then he is able to release Yang energy from his body up to Long range away, affecting all allies in the range. This variant allows the user to augment all allies with the same type of changes, ranging from all gaining wings to more. These changes only last a limited time, however; after 3 turns pass, the grown appendages or changes fall and revert back to normal. Depending on the alteration, one of a few benefits might be obtained.
Note: If additional arms, stronger arms or alterations related to the arm are made, then the target will gain an additional +20 to Taijutsu. If the changes target the head, the user is able to grant a 2x tracking. If leg based alterations are made, then the target will gain either +4 levels to his base speed or +20 damage to leg based tai. If changes target the torso, then an universal durability boost of B rank Ninjutsu immunity is obtained and if wings or similar is created, then the user is able to fly at thrice their speed.
Note: The damage and speed boosts are considered Passive and Base Speed increases. The values listed in the techniques are if the touch based variant is used. If the ranged variant is used, then these benefits are reduced by gained on a lesser scale ( +15 to Tai instead of +20, +2 Speed Levels, 1.5x Tracking, or -15 from all physical clashes).
Note: Touch based variant can only affect up to two people per event. Ranged variant creates a wave of Yang energy that affects up to 3 allies and lasts up to 4 turns.
Note: Can only be used three times in total.

(Yoton Modo) – Yang State
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: N/A
Chakra: 200 (-50 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Based on Hagoromo’s Six Paths Sage Mode, those who have completed and specialized in Yang Release can enter this mode to elevate their prowess, but only in their spiritual or physical capabilities. The lack of the Juubi’s monstrous chakra and natural energy makes it impossible for proper balance of both Yin and Yang natures simultaneously at such a high level. When entering this mode, users first gather their five basic nature chakras and their Yin and Yang natures. They then manipulate the ratio of their Yin to Yang chakra such that one nature almost completely overshadows the other, done almost instantly and effortlessly. The result causes the user to enter one Yang State. Yang State is the state entered by users when they emphasize their Yang chakra over their Yin chakra. In this state the user is endowed with a white and black chakra shroud that the user can alter cosmetically. Their hair and sclera become white, and their hands glow a white energy with fingerless gloves and black magatama along their back. The user gains two main attributes in this state: Tian and Onibi. Tian refers to physical power beyond the scope of earthly mortals. While in Yang State the user’s ability to track and react to movement and actions becomes limitless. The user’s speed increases by 6x their base speed. Likewise, their physical durability reaches its apex, capable of reducing damage from all physical clashes by 80 damage. Note that this physical reduction goes beyond simply physical elements; it applies to anything within the ‘physical’ realm – meaning any physical interaction, be it from Fire Release, Earth, or Lightning are reduced while in Yang State. The opposite, the Spiritual, is not mitigated. Though important to note the user is still suspectable to techniques that apply physically debilitating debuffs, such as paralysis, fatigue, etc. The other trait the user gains, Onibi, activates when the user enters Yang State. The drawback to this technique is that, due to the massive imbalance of Yang chakra, Yin Release and other spiritual techniques are impossible to use whilst in this state.
Note: This technique only last 6 turns and can be used only once per battle.
Note: One must have completed Yang Release in order to use this technique. The user can only use either Yin or Yang State on any bio.
Note: Once the technique ends the user’s spiritual or physical chakra is drained to the barest minimum for their survival, thus making them incapable of using Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release techniques for 10 turns and incapable of using taijutsu for 5 turns (this includes releasing leg weights and physically augmenting techniques).
Note: Likewise, users are unable to use techniques above A-rank for 4 turns.

(Onibi) – Onibi
Type: Supplementary
Rank: Forbidden
Range: Short – Long
Chakra: 40 (-10 per turn)
Damage: N/A
Description: Said to be ghosts of light in ancient lore, these are the spirits of the dead that can be roughly translated as Will-o’-Wisps. Within the field of Yang Release it is the pinnacle manifestation of the field’s core concept: governing vitality and life, the ultimate display of a Yang Master as the giver of life. Onibi is activated simultaneously as Yang Mode, initiated passively once the Mode has been entered. Much like how Kuninotokotachi augments all of the user’s Illusionary techniques, Onibi augments all of the user’s specialized physical techniques; for the duration of Yang State all of the aforementioned techniques are enhanced by passively infusing them with Change into Hell. Each creation is endowed with 300 chakra points, 100 health, sharing their creator’s base speed, and their own form of sentience. Like with Change into Hell, creations through this technique are able to use techniques from the source they are produced from. As life is ever changing and mutating in each permutation, Onibi also grants two random mutations to each creation. These are to be rolled on each time a sentient creation is formed with Onibi. When Yang State expires the user’s techniques that are augmented with Onibi’s sentience and mutations also expire. The random mutations are as follows:
  1. Empowered Vitality: The user’s sentient entity’s vitality is empowered further, increasing its health pool by 80 additional points.
  2. Clear Casting: The user’s sentient entity has its ability to perform techniques augmented, allowing it to perform its techniques without the need for hand seals.
  3. Empowered Speed: The user’s sentient entity has its ability to move enhanced, increasing its speed by 8 base levels.
  4. Thickened Hide: Improved durability reduces all physical damage taken by 40.
  5. Empowered Reserves: The user’s reserves are empowered, increasing its base chakra reserves to 500.
  6. Black Blood: Infuses a deadly vitality-based mutagen within the sentient creation. When the Creation dies or expires its blood will burst in a mid-range radius from its position, afflicting any within with Black Blood. Black Blood inflicts 10 damage per turn indefinitely on any, other than the user, until the end of the battle. Can only be cured by Yin-Yang Release or Senjutsu.
  7. Debilitating Aura: The user’s sentient creation radiates physical energy, destabilizing any living target within a five-meter zone around it. Reduces movement speed by 8 base levels, inflicts 10 damage per turn, and drains 10% of the targets chakra per turn. Can be resisted with a Yin Release technique of equal rank or Senjutsu that persists through this mutation’s duration.
  8. Acidic Spikes: The user’s sentient creation is empowered with the Acidic Spines mutation, causing it to periodically unleash a volley of vitality-based spikes at all enemy targets on the battlefield. Each spike inflicts 80 damage and contains 40 chakra. Its damage is inflicted at a rate of 40 per turn to living targets, but clashing with other techniques counts as 80 damage. Only a single spike can be released at a single target, with each additional target counting as an additional spike. This does not count toward one of the user’s three moves, and it has a 25% chance of occurring every other turn after the creation is formed.
  9. Overwhelming Vitality: The user’s sentient creation is empowered with Overwhelming Vitality, causing it to explode upon death in a mid-range radius explosion of violent energy. Anything caught within it suffers 120 damage.
  10. Prismatic Mutation: A mutation that takes on the combined effects of two random mutations, allowing for three total mutations on a creation. When this occurs, the user is to roll for the first mutation as normal, and then roll for one additional mutation and select one of the first four mutations. This allows for a total of three.

Is it not buffs for the family?!

Alright let me fix this next one since it’s the big one. Still will be a small reply though. I don’t want to annoy you.

Alright. So the bread and butter of Yang: Yang state. Very obviously like with any other yang technique, with you concentrating your yang energy to completely over shadow your Yin energy, you will enter a state called Yang state. This state comes with the peak of physical buffs. The buffs come in a form of x6 speed, which is incredible. Unlimited tracking potential, able to keep with your surroundings in its entirety. You also get apex damage shaving in the form of 80 damage shaving. This applies to anything in the physical. However this does not mitigate or ignore debuffs as you will still suffer from those. This ultimate technique lasts for six turns and of course only usable once per battle.

That being said, you also get access to Onibi while in this state. At the cost of 40 chakra you’re able to endow any of your elemental techniques with Change Into Hell as well as having them sustained with -10 chakra per turn. These creations also gain two random mutations as listed below the Onibi description.

I need clarification on if I’m right about the chakra cost of Onibi. Does that chakra cost apply as soon as you enter Yang state or you must utilize it in order for the chakra to start being consumed? The way it reads, it’s as if it starts consuming chakra as soon as you enter Yang state, but that wouldn’t make much sense unless you plan to actually use it. So I’m assuming you enter Yang, this technique is passively available, and then you spend the chakra cost(s) as you use Onibi if you choose to do so.

It applies as you enter yes, it's somewhat of a soft restriction in a sense. Even in the Yang State it states "The other trait the user gains, Onibi, activates when the user enters Yang State. "
