Yeah, lets go logic. Cause if i did it as Byakuya i'd just be a condescending arse... so not much different i guess xd
Well Yamanaka, excellent florists. In fact the most renown in the hidden leaf vil... oh you mean the HA
MIND BULLETS...
Well, the power of the mind really.
- They can read minds, makes them amazing for gathering info, like ino's dad in the pein arc
- Almost all are sensors which is bae
- They can control people by projecting their conscience onto the other person, and taking over their body. Though they leave their own body vulnerable in the process, until they return. Can be forced out by a stronger will. But they do stop the person using their chakra to force them out, so stuff like killing intent would work to push them out?
- They have been show to hold and control people from a distance through hand gestures, holding them in place through mind tricks.
- They are great at transmitting messages through their minds
- Mind body control is where they take over the nervous system, basically controlling the targets body, but staying in their own. Hella useful.
Basically their powers use their mind and chakra to control the opponents body and mind, while gathering or relaying info.
Very good, and yes, we're actually coming to that. Our great master Reborn has prepared a good amount of knowledge regarding Yamanaka. So I want you to read through it, and give me some feedback. Some of it might answer the questions you have.
Rules of Engagement
Yamanaka boast heightened spiritual prowess when utilizing their techniques. Against the standard, non-specialized target, Yamanaka can overpower their will and use their body freely, though there are constraints. Depending on the rank of the target respective to the caster, the target may or may not be able to release the hold of a Yamanaka easier than others. Maintaining a hold for a Yamanaka depends on their focus on the target for as long as that target's will remains a problem. They are fighting the target's will while simultaneously controlling the target.
Casting/Holding
Against targets 1+ ranks higher: User is unable to use techniques above A-rank for three turns nor are the able to utilize advanced ninjutsu such as Fuinjutsu, Medical-nin, Kin, etc while.
Against targets equal rank: Users are unable to use use techniques above A-rank for three turns.
Against targets 1 rank below: Users are unable to use techniques above S-rank for three turns.
Against targets 2+ ranks below: Users have complete autonomy over the target without being restricted.
If three turns pass without the Yamanaka being force out, the target will be rendered unable to regain control of their body until the technique ends. After three turns, the user becomes capable of utilizing their full abilities without being inhibited.
Breaking/Defending
Targets 1+ rank higher: Can break techniques without chakra through the use of Killing Intent to break the focus of the user, thereby ending the technique. It costs one move.
Targets equal rank and below: Require a will or mental deterrent to break the hold.
Alternatively, external interference such as mentally damaging ninjutsu or genjutsu (above B-rank) cast upon the user could also break their focus. Extreme pain (high grade taijutsu, severe physical damage) inflicted to the user could also break their hold.
These responsive methods only work within the first three turns of being captured, after which a Yamanaka's hold is indefinite until the jutsu naturally ends or they end it themselves.
Spiritual Vantage Points
Yin Release Yamanaka: If a Yamanaka possess Yin release the strength of their techniques increases considerably. Targets drop in rank by 1 respective to where they ordinarily would be against the Yamanaka. The only exception would members one ran or above, the user would considered equal rank. As well, Yamanaka cannot be blocked from entering the mind of an opponent if they are within the line of capture. To avoid being captured one must prevent the technique or be out of the range.
Yin Release Targets: If the target of a Yamanaka possesses Yin Release, then they possess the spiritual and mental capabilities to defend against them on equal playing field. Those who would ordinarily be lower ranked than the Yamanaka would be equal rank spiritually and those equal rank would be superior and would be able to force them out without the need for chakra (though at the cost of a turn).
In the event that both adverse parties are Yin Release users, see rules of engagement for standard users.

Casting/Holding
- Just to get this right, for example "Against targets 1+ ranks higher: User is unable to use techniques above A-rank for three turns nor are the able to utilize advanced ninjutsu such as Fuinjutsu, Medical-nin, Kin, etc while." this means, while i'm holding someone stronger than me, i'm jounin, so sage rank users, i can only use basic jutsu up to A rank at the same time? But if i release the jutsu, i can go back to normal? Depending on the jutsu i used? If i have control of their body through the mind body transfer, can i use their chakra? Am i limited to these same casting holding limits if i do use that jutsu etc... can you just elaborate a bit for me xd
Breaking/Defending - like what methods apart from killing intent are there to break it? I mean you can't activate a mode cause you can't use your chakra system so stuff like activating a curse mark is out the question. I mean bijuu can force you out with ease i get that... but how else?
Also i forget yin is like an active thing in the rp now, but seems quite... fun...
Just want more explaining so i know my limits xd
I used killing intent to break first binding against skorm cause couldn't use chakra, then hid using hidden mist and blocking line of sight so i couldn't be bound, cause i wasn't sure how break it a second time.
Depends on the technique, each one has their own unique restrictions. As for breaking out;
Targets 1+ rank higher: Can break techniques without chakra through the use of Killing Intent to break the focus of the user, thereby ending the technique.
Just use Genjutsu on Yamanaka, so its either they let go or they suffer mental damage. Or, use physical based stuff to break their focus, like external damage to cause pain. Stuff that don't require hand seals. Use C rank Earth to stab them and let them loose focus. Lots of ways to interrupt it. There are more methods than I am explaining here right now, though. Alright, on to techniques then?

But, if as a yamanaka, you are controlling an opponents body, and their chakra system, how can they use a jutsu to attack me such as gen or an pillar of earth, to make me break the jutsu, if they are not in control of their own chakra system?

Because, like I said, each technique has its perks and disadvantages. There's always a way out lol.
(Shintenshin no Jutsu) - Mind Body Switch Technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: C
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 15
Damage: N/A
Description: The Mind Body Switch Technique is the signature technique of the Yamanaka clan. Originally, this ninjutsu was suited for intelligence-gathering missions rather than battle. With it, a ninja sends his mind as spiritual energy into a target's body supplanting the target's mind with their own. The user transfers their consciousness to the target, giving them complete control of the body for a short period of time. While in control of the body, the user is able to communicate with the target. Since the user is in another body, they are also able to use that body's chakra. It is also possible for the user to switch bodies with the target. This has great strategic value when used on a team-mate as neither body is left incapacitated and they may also make use of the user's abilities as well as their own while doing this. To remain inconspicuous when spying, the user can perform this technique on an animal, such as a hawk, which they can use to do aerial reconnaissance. It is generally used on immobilized targets. Conversely, however, the user's original body is left defenseless while this technique is active, leaving it susceptible to attack until they return. The mind transfer moves slowly in a straight direction and takes some time to return to the user's body if it misses. Similarly, if the opponent's will is strong enough, they can force the user from their body, as Sakura Haruno did to Ino Yamanaka during the Chūnin Exams. Also, if the user's chakra level is low, the technique will be harder to maintain. Furthermore, should any physical injury befall the victim's body while the mind link is active, it would cause the user's body to also receive those same injuries. This can be rectified if user cancels the technique before the victim's body receives the damage.
Note: This technique gives the user control over the victim's body and chakra such that, the target is incapable of using any technique that is not directed at breaking the technique's hold on them.
Note: Switching bodies with a target grants full autonomy to both parties to utilize the body and chakra of their respective host, however, both parties are still linked mentally and physically and thus, any damage inflicted on one happens to the other. If either member leaves their host while the other still occupies the other body, their consciousness will be lost in a sort of purgatory until the technique ends and they'll be unable to return. However, the Yamanaka who cast the technique is free to end the technique at any time.
Note: The duration of this technique lasts 10 turns and the target becomes incapable of breaking free after 3 turns. If the body swapping version of this technique is used the technique lasts 5 turns.
Note: This technique requires a cool down equivalent to the number of turns it was sustained after 4 turns.
I'll let you elaborate on the technique, and I'll point out issues if need be. It's pretty interesting in both it strengths and weaknesses.

I'll let you elaborate on the technique, and I'll point out issues if need be. It's pretty interesting in both it strengths and weaknesses.
Basic jutsu of the clan:
- You shoot your conscience onto the target.
- Through this you either take control of their body, or switch bodies with them
- In their body you can use their chakra, as you have complete control over their body, including their chakra system
- If you switch bodies with someone, you can use stuff you know, aswell as what they know "This has great strategic value when used on a team-mate as neither body is left incapacitated and they may also make use of the user's abilities as well as their own while doing this." Would you be able to use your kg if you were a steel user, taking over non steel bio though? Or your own c.e while in their body? Or their c.e and special abilities etc?
Weakeness:
- Your own body is vulnerable
- To cast this, your "conscious" moves in a slow straight line, so limited by speed and line of sight etc, but how slow in the rp?
- After you are cast out its slow to go back to your own body, but how slow?
- Strong will, i get that killing intent could kick you out, but are there any other methods that don't use chakra? Seeing as the user will take over their chakra system?
-if you take over their body, and they are hit in their body, your body suffers the same, stops suicidal stuff xD
-
Question:
Note: This technique gives the user control over the victim's body and chakra such that, the target is incapable of using any technique that is not directed at breaking the technique's hold on them. - any offensive jutsu used against the users body would be a method of breaking the hold, so does that mean they can use any jutsu to attack the users main body? Or just stuff like killing intent, will power at heart... maybe curse mark would work?
