Director Bryan Singer is currently hard at work in post-production on X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is coming out next May and is expected to be one of the biggest superhero movies ever, but that's not stopping him from thinking about the future. Taking to his Twitter feed, the director has announced that there will be yet another X-Men movie coming out in 2016, and it has a very interesting title:

Box Office Mojo has confirmed this news from the studio and has learned that the feature will be released on May 27, 2016 - almost exactly two years after Days of Future Past. Considering the source it wouldn't be too surprising to learn that Singer will be directing the film himself, but it's worth noting that he did serve as just an executive producer on Matthew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class.

The title Apocalypse should be very familiar to comic book fans who have been paying attention to the X-Men over the last few decades. From 1995 to 1996 there was a famous X-Men story arc called Age of Apocalypse that involved the creation of an alternate timeline that was ruled over by an immortal mutant named Apocalypse. This storyline was spurred by Charles Xavier's son, Legion, traveling back in time to try and kill Magneto - so it's entirely possible that the Apocalypse movie could come as a result of the time travel that will be occurring X-Men: Days of Future Past. Does that make this reveal a semi-spoiler?

That's all the news for today, thank you for you time .
