Alright after more than a decade, and a couple of years batting the idea around "The Icon" Steve Borden a.k.a. Sting, has finally signed a contract with WWE. Now for those of you who know already know the story and know just who he is, you know how huge of a fan service this is for his fans. But for those of you who don't know who he is....SHAME ON YOU!!!! lol nah jk, I will give you a quick run down, he was one of the biggest names back in WCW, but when WWE (WWF back then) bought out WCW in 2001, Sting was the most famous name to NOT go to WWE and work with Vince McMahon because he just didn't want to take a gamble on how he would be treated....

But this past weekend, Wrestlemania Weekend, even though he did not make an appearance at the show of shows, he was down in that area at a convention called Wrestlecon, and said that he had a new favorite number and that number was......

Now yes, I know that little video doesn't exactly say "OMG He signed the contract!!!!" That video was simply saying that 31 is is favorite number, and that he was basically in the final agreements of the contract with the corporation, and for at least 12-24 hours there were mass speculations that he wouldn't sign because of Undertakers now "infamous" loss at Wrestlemania, and the Severe Concussion that he had suffered early on in his match. But a few days ago like a bull through a fine china shop, news of his officially signing with WWE went viral as all hell. He is set to debut sometime this year, but "when" hasn't been stated, I believe they will want him to get into a bit better shape than he currently is in, especially if you saw is last few matches on TNA iMPACT.

As I know many fans around my age say they will not believe it until they see him step foot inside that squared circle or at least the stage leading to the ring. But I am keeping my hopes up.

Another thing that most of us will have to realize is that this man is 55 fricken years old, he ain't a spring chicken anymore, so there aren't really too many people that they can put him up against other than Undertaker, Triple H (highly unlikely), or someone at least within 10 years of his age.

Most fans are expecting him to face Undertaker at Wrestlemania, some want him to go against the true face of the company, John Cena, and others they only wanna see him as an authority figure (which is stupid in my honest opinion).

But yeah The Icon, The Franchise of WCW.....Sting is now with WWE.

When is the last time he has wrestled? With Taker most likely not wreslting anymore, I dont see a place for him. I doubt they would push him over the newer guys.

I honestly can't wait till he debuts in the WWE. Sting has been one of my favorite wrestlers for a number of years. Especially back when he was in WCW. Miss those good old WCW days!

I believe his most recent match was back in January on TNA in a Title vs Career match. Also he wouldn't exactly be pushed over newer guys like Cesaro, Bryan, that russian guy, and many others, but simply having his name appear or even mentioned his WWE fame will automatically hit legendary just from people who remember him in WCW, and earlier years in TNA.

I see plenty of places for The Icon in the company he doesn't just have to face Undertaker to have a place in the company, despite that being the main choice for many fans these days.

lol I think he is Bulgarian but yeah I guess he would bring a lot of publicity and his own fanbase if they are not into WWE.
